Welcome - Maywood Park I stumbled into this quaint little city within our city. Rich with friendly, mask faces m, mask free face flat unobstructed walking/running/bike/skateboard/dog walking/Girl Scout cookie selling two landed concrete golden lined path. I was met at the front door by Dr. Mischief a 60 lbs puppy and his owner who was being pulled along on his skateboard enthusiastically by the Dr. As I followed the yellow lined road I discovered signs describing what plants I’ll most like see along the way. The rest I’ll leave for you to discover should you find your way here. However, if you do and want to trudge just a little further your in for a treat. A half mile or so down the tail is 25 acres of land called Gateway Green. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Bring your bike, skateboard, or just your lambor-feeties. PS.. there are homeless living along both sides of the path along the way. Do not misunderstands me. I don’t mean to say it’s unsafe. Only that they are living along the path.

Had an awesome time here with my kiddos, age 7, 7 and 9. Good place for beginners and advanced. Lots of variety with the green and blue flow/jump lines, perimeter Fence Trail, Skills area with three varying height drops that were all (surprisingly) rollable and a couple tabletop jumps. Wish there was a more "intermediate" friendly jump line. The big jump line is "no gap" with A/B options. the A line has wood ramp takeoffs and dirt landings but have shark fins so they're not rollable and have casing consequences if you don't clear it. The B line looked good but just a bit above my head. The velo solutions pump track definitely kept my kids' interest the most, just after the nature play area. Kind of looked like the prefab pump track hasn't been used since it was put in.

My first time at Gateway greens "excellent riding" and its got cool switchbacks with berms, sweet singletrack with doubles and pump features, a concrete mini pump track, a wall ride and some wooden bridge drops, also some wooden pump features, and to top it all off four pretty big jumps with wooden bridge takeoffs I like to call the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse I watched a guy jump these they are sick! 😀 This is a great place to ride, a little bit of climbing but well worth it. I felt my skills getting better every time we rode the trails, this will be a good place to build my skills and also thanks to the guys that build and maintain these trails good work!! 👍This is my new local place to ride see you there 😎

I used to live here when I was homeless about 6-7 years ago. Now it's a bike park and I really hope people use it because they kicked out a bunch of us and took away our homes to build this place. When I lived there I had some really great ideas on making that area into a place for homeless people to camp, they have plenty of room out there, they could have built bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities and it is in a great location out of the way not to close to any residential or businesses because we all know how everyone hates the homeless and doesn't want them in there neighborhood . I just really hope the bike park is getting a lot of use and enjoyment because I know if it had become a place for the residentially challenged to live it could have been used and enjoyed by hundreds and given us a place to...

Good people, it is so hard to leave negative feedback. This afternoon at about 6:00 p.m. I wanted so badly to hit the dirt at gateway greens before the sun went down. However, parking anywhere in the gateway transit center area is risky due to people wandering around the park and ride lot, looking for whatever they might find. There is nothing worse than going for a ride and coming back to find windows broken, belongings taken, or to not have your vehicle there anymore, which has happened to me. I could go on about livability in the Portland metropolitan area, but that's not what this post is for. It's about personal safety, vehicle safety, and being able to enjoy a place. My hope is that secure parking can be procured, even if it requires paying to park there. Dang. I just wanted to...
