Welcome - Maywood Park
I stumbled into this quaint little city within our city. Rich with friendly, mask faces m, mask free face flat unobstructed walking/running/bike/skateboard/dog walking/Girl Scout cookie selling two landed concrete golden lined path. I was met at the front door by Dr. Mischief a 60 lbs puppy and his owner who was being pulled along on his skateboard enthusiastically by the Dr. As I followed the yellow lined road I discovered signs describing what plants I’ll most like see along the way. The rest I’ll leave for you to discover should you find your way here.
However, if you do and want to trudge just a little further your in for a treat. A half mile or so down the tail is 25 acres of land called Gateway Green. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Bring your bike, skateboard, or just your lambor-feeties.

Read moreI used to live here when I was homeless about 6-7 years ago. Now it's a bike park and I really hope people use it because they kicked out a bunch of us and took away our homes to build this place. I just really hope the bike park is getting a lot of use and enjoyment because I know if it had become a place for the residentially challenged to live it could have been used and enjoyed by hundreds and given us a place to...

There is nothing worse than going for a ride and coming back to find windows broken, belongings taken, or to not have your vehicle there anymore, which has happened to me. I could go on about livability in the Portland metropolitan area, but that's not what this post is for. It's about personal safety, vehicle safety, and being able to enjoy a place. My hope is that secure parking can be procured, even if it requires paying to park there. Dang. I just wanted to...
