Visit this nice little attraction on the water front of the river next to downtown Portland for something different. It is really worth the visit and gives you a good glimpse into the history of Oregon's riverboat days.
This is a good activity to do just about any time, but we went first thing when they opened and got our own private tour by one of the very knowledgeable docents. He really went into great detail about all aspects of the boat, the things that happened back in the day and current facts as it was related to why they were there and how they existed.
It won't take up much of your time, but will fill an hour or more. This attraction is great for both adults and kids of all ages.

Read moreI had so much fun here! Our tour guide was fantastic, super knowledgeable and gave a really great tour of the whole boat and its history. The volunteer guides were both very sweet and seemed genuinely passionate about their job.
One thing to know is that (I'm pretty sure) you have to book a tour on the website, or else you can't gain entrance to the boat. Hence some of the negative reviews where people just showed up to the gate and couldn't enter.
