Tom McCall Waterfront Park — Attraction in Portland

Named for a governor of Oregon who was emphatic in his promotion of walkability and thoughtful urban planning instead of relentlessly car-centric design, this is a beautiful and quaint park filled with all kinds of little delights and pleasures. There are remnants from the battleship Oregon and many monuments and memorials, a large percentage of which are dedicated to the Japanese-American community in Portland. Compared to most other parks in the city, it is relatively clean and comfortable. My biggest complaint would probably be the abundance of graffiti on the benches.
