As always the Portland Aerial Tram is the most enjoyable way to visit OHSU up on the hill. Rates are reasonable, but if you are visiting or have an appointment up there it is free! Just check in at the front desk above the parking garage for free passes. You can also get your parking pass validated there.
Kids and first-time riders are automatically given a "front of the car" spot, and the smiles and laughter over the reactions to the ride are universal.
This tram is available to the general public for a very reasonable fee, and it makes for an enjoyable experience just for the fun of it. If you want to make a lunch date of it, that works too! Its primarily used to transport healthcare workers and patients to the hospital, so keep that in mind & be considerate of those folks travelling for that purpose.
