I have been to this spa many times. It is mostly pretty quiet and not very heavily attended, which is not a problem for me. For the most part, I have observed a good cleaning routine, which I appreciate. It seems mostly clean other than the hot tub which I have observed a questionable ring of grime on a couple occasions.
On a recent visit, I observed a newer employee that did not have the cleanliness I observed in other employees. This employee did wash their hands after using the bathroom stall for a considerable period of time. This is the second occasion I observed questionable behavior by this employee. Behavior thar seemed though it could easily corrected with a conversation.
David Pettit, the manager , (according to his business card) was at the club this day and was sitting right outside the front door having a cigarette so I decided to make him aware since the club claims to have high cleanliness standards.
I started off by complimenting David on the cleanliness I observed (there is usually decent cleanliness) then shared the information an about this employee. David became very defensive and threw a tantrum in front of the club and claimed he wasnât going to do anything about it. He claimed the employee was off the clock and therefore he didnât care what he did and continued to yell. I explained to him I wasnât here to get mad at him, just give him some information. Not very logical for him to get mad. I wasnât even mad, I approached him very calmly, I had more compliments for him than complaints.
A calm conversation would have netted to some great information for David. This time the employee may have happened to be clocked out. The other time the employee was clearly on the clock...
Read moreThe employees keep walking around you. They will clean and walk over the same areas over and over specially if there is some play going on, they will make a point to stand next to the action and start cleaning. The place could be dead and spotless if there are people somewhere they will come clean around them.
They also like to flash lights at open rooms which is not cool. I was in my room and employees kept walking by flashing light at the room.
They will also start cleaning the walls and doors next to your room and start looking inside your room.
This isnât one employee or two, itâs all of them. I feel judged and like I canât have any privacy.
UPDATE: To the person who responded to my comment â I only leave reviews when I have a bad experience. Your staff likes to go around staring at people, there is no need to go clean an area they JUST cleaned while there is a group having some fun
2nd UPDATE: I donât need to email, Iâve already left my review. Iâve been to bath houses all over the world and never have I seen staff walk around you so often. I was there at 4am once when there were only a few guys and the staff kept walking...
Read moreThe owner/general manager David Pettit is a terribly rude person that talks down to people. Makes them feel stupid. He completely ruined my first experience with anything like that in my life and I'm 40. Like a lot of us, I had to stay "hidden" for half of my life and I am still very closed up and nervous a lot. He destroyed my first pride ever. I was excited and scared at the same time but then he just made me and my husband feel soooo stupid and belittled us in front of the other customers in line. He made me feel like a child. I was already nervous as hell and that treatment from himade me completely closed off from the experience. He basically got money from us for nothing. He has made it to where I'm skeptical of going to any other business like this. My joyful first experiences were destroyed and taken away from me because of the way he is...
