We love this place. It's one of our favorite go-to joints in Portland. With 4 different food court choices, from friend chicken to pizza to Korean and Tacos, you really can't go wrong. Grab a beer from Pay Dirt, then pick your food of choice, and then sit either inside at one of the large tables or sit under the covered patio next to gas fire pits. Bus your own tables, which means pick up after yourself. This place is a great place to meet friends and take none locals to show them another cool venue in Portland. Parking can be difficult, so part on the side street.

09/28/16: 4.5 out of 5 - Wednesday running group wanted try something different so we decided to go to The Zipper. Here we were enchanted by Basilisk. The menu is simple and the food is tasty and the staff were nice. What more can one ask for. What was amazing was how evenly the chicken was cooked. The seasoning was excellent and the chicken was moist. The slaw was good but a little messy. So try this place out once and decide for yourself. This was a winner for all of us.

Very cool place with a bunch of different places to eat and outdoor seating with fire pits. The chicken sandwich was probably the best thing we had. Ramen was kind of bland. The bimBipbap smelled sooo good, but it was bland tasting too which was a little disappointing. Also tried the burrito from the Mexican place which wasn’t that great.

#sevenvirtues now has panini! ;) and still great espresso and cold brew drinks! Breakfast Bagel Sandos! When it is open Hollywood vintage is across the way :-) and other cute little stores :-) enjoy the outdoors all these shops within walking distance to 28th. Go on a espresso tour crawl :-) and up all the way over at Stark and 28th at canteen and hit several different coffee shops. :-) #staccatogelato has restaurants and taprooms open. And a new Italian type restaurant / Market :-). Of course Whole Foods is open and the right size to pick up a few items when you are in the area :-) #paadee #wolfandbears foodcart area by #crema. Eat and drink your way around the hood....

There are like five or so businesses that make up "the zipper" connected by a food court type area. Haven't tried them all, but the concept is very cool. The Basalisk is very good. Their Dan Dan fries are so tasty. Their chicken sandwich is a monster and also super tasty. There's a coffee shop part of the building, but not connected to the food court area, that has the best loose leaf tea.

Parking is a huge bummer. Seating can also be a huge bummer because people tend to linger. Food can take forever so make sure you have at least 30 minutes to wait just to order and get your food, eating time...
