Delicious food, and the worst service imaginable. I ordered an asada burrito and chips+guac. Andy, the active manager on duty at the moment, served my burrito alongside my fiance's burrito. She went to grab them, and then asked for the chips and guac I ordered. Andy, the active manager on duty, told her that he already gave us the food we ordered. She said that no, he hadn't given us the chips and guac. He argued, again saying that he already served it to us. I got up and walked over and told him that had not gotten the guac. He again argued. At this point, obviously irritated, I asked him to come out and check our table to confirm we had not received the chips and guac. His response, instead of admitting his failure and blatantly rude behavior, was to tell me he could not provide the service I was requesting. Utterly confused and irritated, I challenged him asking why he could not give me the food I ordered. He told me he would just have to refund me. I dont know if he refunded me for the whole order, or just the chips and guac he refused to give me because he did not provide any receipt or confirmation. I wanted to eat guac with my burrito, so my meal was not provided as ordered. To the owner, your employee is refusing to serve the food your customers are ordering. I was not hostile. I used no foul language. I had an irritated tone because when I asked for the food I ordered, his response was to tell me I already got it... which was false. Just terrible. Zero accountability. Im never...
Read moreI'm updating my review after some time and a noticeable change in quality. Before I said they have the best burrito (and very competitive tacos) in town but I'm not sure if that still holds. It seems like since they've expanded to a couple brick-and-mortars, Tight Tacos has lost track a bit on their quality control. The ingredients still remain essentially unchanged and very good, although the rice can occasionally come undercooked/crunchy. But it's the execution, specifically of the burritos, that has declined significantly. Overall they are just making them way too big now and putting way too much meat in them. I know some people might like that but these used to be perfectly sized and proportioned burritos. Also the price has gone up recently. I don't need to pay 12 dollars after tip for a burrito I can't finish... Maybe it's time to offer two burrito sizes or maybe the owners just need to do a once-over observation of their younger staff to ensure things are being made to the old standards. I'm not sure I'll be coming back again if the next time I get crunchy rice or 2 pounds of meat in my burrito. Also where's the onions and cilantro in...
Read moreI ordered the nachos with no guac. The counter person asked if cheese and crema were still okay, and I said yes. When my food was ready, I noticed it had guac, and said, "I ordered no guac." I asked them to remove it (it was right on top) but they insisted on remaking the entire dish. Fine. The remake has guac on it. I said, "I asked for no guac?" Then, the counter person started to argue with me and told me they had asked me if guac was okay at the beginning. No, they asked if cheese and crema were okay at the beginning.
I understand messing up an order. It has happened to me many times at other places and it is usually no big deal. But being rude to me and gaslighting me about what I did and didn't ask for is unnecessary. I clearly stated no guac, twice. Once at the initial order, and once at the remake. If they just would have taken the guac off the first time (or the second time), there would have been no problem. But this man really had to gaslight me about what I ordered because he didn't want to admit he messed up my...
