Since opening under new management, Wildwood has moved away from corner dive bar towards cozy pub. It's a little better lit, feels less decrepit, all good things.
However, their prices are a bit silly. $8 for a 1.5 oz pour of Jameson, for instance. Their selection leaves a lot to desire as well. They have a few low end bourbons, a few low end Irish, and maybe a blended scotch or two. I've been going here since about a year before the name changed from Tony's Tavern. The average regular is about 50 years old and a raging alcoholic, but the friendly service, cheap prices and the laid back, extremely non-judgemental atmosphere makes up for it and has made Wildwood one of my favorite spots to go to when I'm feeling low-key but still want to sit at a bar, have a drink and watch whatever big sports...
