This is a great gym! 👍💪 It has everything you need for any kind of workout (machine & free weights, stationary cardio, yoga) and its operating hours are conveniently accessible throughout every day of the week. Plus, the owners, Jodi and Wes are both certified trainers, and they're super friendly and ready to assist with any questions you may have to improve your workout or address the attainment of a personal goal. The gym is exceptionally clean, and all the equipment looks brand new, even though it has been open for a year. I highly recommend this gym for all of your fitness needs.
Update: I have been a member of Shift Fitness for six months now and things have been going great. In addition to being able to establish a regular program of cardio conditioning and strength building sessions, I've also began taking Jodi's kickboxing classes two months ago. She is certified to teach this form of martial art and is an excellent instructor. I've learned the various types of punches and kicks which she reinforces with intense sessions of practical application against her gym's punching bag. She also begins, and ends, each session with lots of stretching to minimize any chance of muscle injury during class from overexertion or post-training session soreness. During the week, Jodi will often ask her students how they are doing to make sure there are no lingering adverse effects from the previous kickbox class. In cases wherein students need help to increase muscle flexibility and joint mobility, Jodi will put them in contact with Julie, one of the Shift Fitness trainers, who is certified to perform "deep stretching" sessions. I have had two sessions with Julie to increase my flexibility and mobility, and as an added bonus, I believe it has noticeably improved my posture and helped me to regain some of my height stature. Other than purchasing a set of inexpensive hand wraps to secure the joints in your hands, there are no other items needed for the class. The gym has a set of boxing gloves and the previously mentioned punching bag, and Jodi, or Jared, can show you how to wrap your hands. First, you could not find a friendlier more inviting group of people. You are always welcomed with a gigantic smile. Second, it’s a very comfortable atmosphere. When I showed up at the gym, I was met at the door by a couple lady’s that were very personable and friendly. They walked me through setting up the app and payment which was very painless.
