Daniela on 6/7/24 gave the crappiest customer service. I had a bronzer tester explode down my dress, which is brand new. When reported to the front, she was so non chalant and non caring about it. Just tried to give me makeup wipes to rub bronzer in. She seemed super unprepared to handle something like this and almost more flustered than myself, with the shock of just opening a product to have it pour out down me and in my shopping basket with other items inside. I asked for alcohol and she pointed me vaguely away, hurriedly. Had to have another employee assist in finding it and there was .05 oz of alcohol to use which is not enough to do anything about butter bronzer covering my torso. When checking out, it was the same girl again, she was rushing me so quick and now being snobby. I don’t remember even getting an apology for the incident. I feel like in this instance, perhaps an apology credit at least should be available. Nothing too big, but now I have to buy a new dress as there’s no way this is coming out. As a shopper I expect testers to not explode on me when I open them. I came to buy product not get one exploded on me. This tester was 1 shade left of around 5 missing so it seems this is a reoccurring issue that they are aware of and continue to put product out. Super super messed up and I will be calling to try and talk to an upper head. I spend a lot here as a treat and after this, I’ll be ordering online from Sephora for now on I think. Today was really sad and upsetting how much lack of care these girls had and the condition of their products. Also, I tried to redeem my birthday gift especially since I will not be returning but also as it’s something I look forward to annually. How are they already completely out one week into the month? Do better, Ulta.
Update 6/10 I spoke to the GM of the location. They only offered 20% off a next purchase for the issue after I said I won’t be back to this location. Besides that, I currently have a coupon for 15% off a purchase and 20% is a regular promotion they have. I think this is quite ridiculous and unfair. I would have to spend a lot to get the cost of my dress back with 20% off. Ulta really needs to do better. As someone with past salon management experience, their handling of this is just...
Read moreThis was my first time getting a haircut at this Ulta location. I have been to a few others and have had a good experience. The girl who cut my hair was very nice but probably new. I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted, simple short bob (about jaw length, slightly longer) with slight texturizing in the back because I have very thick hair.
Red flag #1: The first cut was way higher than I had asked for. She put her comb at the bottom of my neck, I guess where the neck starts, and I told her just a tad higher because I had wanted a slightly shorter cut. As you can see by the picture, her first cut was about 1.5in higher than where I pointed out.
Red flag #2: I couldn’t point out or say anything to fix the first snip because she cut my hair with it all down at once! I told her several times I have thick hair. It should have been sectioned of. She did the WHOLE CUT like this.
Red flag #3: Like is said already, and like I told her several times. I have thick hair. When she made that first cut, it pulled my hair as did the next couple snips. Between thick hair being cut all at once and what were probably dull shears it was basically hacked away.
Red flag #4: I asked for a few face framing pieces. As you can see in the last picture, they didn’t turn out well.
Red Flag #5: She told me how she basically just fried her own bangs off 😳
I didn’t say anything there at the store because a) I’m usually not one to complain and this is only the 3rd negative review I’ve ever written. b) I had no clue how bad it was until I got home and really started examining it. c) after the first snip the cut was done for. There was nothing that could be done except now I’ll just wait for it to grow.
She was a rookie with a $45 price tag. She asked no questions. She didn’t feel through or examine my hair texture, thickness the way it laid before she shampooed it. She was very nice hence the 3stars. Don’t go here. The headshots that I have in 3 days will be mighty pleasant for me we this bowl...
Read moreMy experience with this location has been mixed. My boyfriend and I went to the mall because I wanted to pick out a foundation, it's incredibly hard to find a foundation that matches my skin tone because my skin is darker than most that live in the area. While looking for a foundation and swatching, I was constantly followed by one of their employees. She would constantly ask if I needed help and would walk past which ever aisle I was in. I had never had such rude treatment in my life. I personally would prefer if she had said that particular people weren't welcomed in the store. I spoke with the manager, who is an older black woman, and she completely understood what I was saying and thankfully remedied the situation by talking to her.
Another time I visited the store, I was looking for a foundation with a golden or yellowish undertone. I asked one of the sales associates and she told me no, none of the foundations had what I was looking for. She said this in a rude and condescending tone. I asked one of the managers working there if they had what I was looking for but even though she was a black woman herself, I could tell she doesn't know much about makeup. She tried to refer me to the previous associate but I said she had tried to help me but I was told that you didn't have any foundations for my undertone. She found another associate that tried to help but it is clear that they are not versed in deep complexions.
If you are a woman with a darker or deep complexion please avoid the associates and take your time finding the right foundation, they are not willing to help you, if at all.
I see that another customer has been followed as well. I suggest going online and shopping or ignore the associates, it's clear that customer service is...
