Went here with a friend on Monday night as it can get real busy on the weekends. The boiled dumplings are very good. So is there "SOONDUBU STEW " korean hot soup regular Bowl of kimchi, beef, pork, seafood, vegetable tofu or chicken. Then Pick between 5 spice levels. BE CAREFUL even the plain has some hot spice. Then pick if you want kalguksu (flat noodles), ramen or hot stone bowl rice. Service was excellent! Refills of the side dishes that came with the soup were very generous. Always asking if we wanted more. Our server was also great at making sure our water and tea glasses were always full as well as explaining the menu to people totally not familiar with the food. The prices are very reasonable. Next i want to try the "BIBIMBAP" STEAMED RICE WITH ASSORTED, SAUTEED, AND SEASONED VEGETABLES SERVED ON A TRADITIONAL KOREAN HOT STONE PLATE. *No gimbap...
Read moreI can't believe I never wrote a review, this is one of my favorite places to eat in Quincy. I love soondubu, I love bibimbpap, I love Korean pancake and I love banchan. I never tried to order that japchae at this location but it is one of my favorite foods, the menu say it has beef so I assume they prep it that way but if they do just a veggie one I would be more than happy to order it. Anyways so the rice here is amazing, I'm not talking about the delicious toasty stone pot rice, that's great too but just the steamed rice. It's perfect, the flavor is perfect and the just it's great rice. I found myself eating just the steamed rice from my leftover and I had an ear to eat grin on my face, then I had to stop since I planned to have it for breakfast tomorrow. Honestly if I lived closer and didn't want to make rice I'd probably even one...
Read moreI went around 2pm on a Tuesday. As always, I try to avoid rush hours. When I arrived, only two tables were occupied so service prompt. Immediately offered water and a menu, and as soon as I made eye contact the servers would stop for me. I ordered the hot stone beef bibimbap (dolsot bibimbap bulgolgi). While I agree that the amount of beef is small for American standards, it seems well portioned in other aspects. I like to mix my bibimbap though so it is enough to spread through the dish. It comes with side dishes (banchan) which is nice, but I have to commend the egg soup that the dish came with. Although considered a side, it was refreshing in a salty brothy way. Just as a side note, I prefer my bibimbap to have a fried egg on top, but they make the bibimbap with the egg already in the dish. I'm sure they can do that for you if you...
