Jeremy at Farnan Jewelers helped me re-set my wife's diamond from her original setting into a new custom band with a matching set of wedding bands. This was no small task. Well.. In a way it was, she has a size 2 ring! There was no looking through a catalog because most don't make a ring that small. My wife had a vision of what she wanted for her grandmother's diamond that was passed down to her, an emerald cut stone that you can't just put into any setting and have it look good. We trusted Jeremy for the job, he listened intently to what we wanted and he was confident he could make it happen. Throughout the process Jeremy was great to deal with and kept me updated throughout the making of the ring. Custom jewelry is not something you want to rush but I had a date in mind only a few short weeks away (what can I say I'm a guy and guys procrastinate) to gift the ring back to my wife and Jeremy made it happen! I came in to have my necklace repaired- a thin white gold chain. He told me the chain is weak - as I told him I’ve worn it for over 15. years (with my engagement diamond). He said a new one would cost between $500 and over $800. I was shocked as i didn’t pay nearly that. He said he will bring some to show me. He called me a week later to let me know my chain was ready. When i showed up, it wasn’t ready and he showed me the new one to purchase. He said it was strong - not like mine— and pulled on it…. And it broke!!! I decided right and there i will come back to get my repaired chain and would go somewhere else. He was so unprofessional and weird. I ended up going to Testa J in Paoli.
