My bf and I have done 70+ rooms and love this place. It was actually our 2nd ever room a few years back, and it was so good we kept it in mind and came back last night. This place is an absolute win for construction and decoration. You won't be seeing cords/outlets, worrying about "this lock isn't in play," or any unnecessary props that you can't tell if they're in play or not. Also, the owner does a phenomenal job making the games play naturally so you always know what direction you're going/what your next objective is.
We did Mutiny last night and Station 13 today. They were very different styles from each other, but both were 5 star rooms, and we will be back as soon as we can to finish the rest!
Mutiny is a classic style, but this place wins in terms of being immersive, fluid, and really fine tuned. It's linear in spots and non linear in others. The puzzles take some brain power but aren't confusing.
Treasure Hunt Station 13: DO THIS ROOM if you have a big group or are experienced. It is non linear, has a ridiculous amount of puzzles, and again, is set up perfectly. The puzzles have a ton of variety so each person or pair in the group can find what they like/are good at and enjoy. There is a lot of instant gratification in this room that pumps you up for whatever you work on next.
Also, the owner is pretty awesome. He talked to us a couple years ago and still has the same passion and greeted us after our rooms this time as well. He came out and let us pick his brain and overall was really fun to talk to.
Definitely top tier escape room throughout socal, norcal, Vegas, AZ, CO. Make it a stop if...
Read moreOMG. What a gem in the palm spring area. My team of 6 drove 2 hours and half to this place because we heard many many good things about their games.
First we walked in, we were greet by friendly owner and host Charlie. Then we took turns to use restroom to get ready. The facility is super clean and cozy. Especially the restroom. It's amazing. Lol.
We started from Baker Street, which is a gen1 game with some clever puzzles. For people who love puzzles like me will appreciate how clever the puzzles are. Then we did the forgotten pharaoh, a combo of gen1 and gen2. An adventurous and fun game starts from dark. After traveled from Egypt, we went back to medieval time and did the dragons spire. It's also a combo of gen1 and gen2. But much more tech than the previous two we did. The set design is beautiful. After obtained the dragons eye, we were sent to a German station to hunt artifacts. Omg. This game is perfect for escape room enthusiasts because there is tons of puzzles from easy to hard. Also a combo of gen1 and gen2 game. A very brilliant game. Next we did the candy challenge to find secret ingredient. This game is also a combo of gen1 and gen2. It's super cute and whimsical. We love it. We ended playing the Mutiny, which is the most popular or well-known game from what I heard, and yes it's phenomenal. It's another great combo of gen1 and gen2. Clever puzzles and nice game flow with big finale that blown my mind.
We had a blast day at the escape game by the river. If you are looking for something fun to do. Do yourself a favor and come play games here. You will have an...
Read moreWe did The Forgotten Pharaoh. The puzzles were pretty clever. But the main things that slowed us down were the lack of lights and the germy, stinky, headlights. I understand and have been to dim escape rooms but this was really bad-if your eyes are sensitive maybe think twice about doing this room. The stinky headlights didn't help at all. They were the main antagonist. Concerned me the whole time was how often do they clean these rooms? Do they even fully sanitize the rooms after every game? I doubt they even cleaned the headlights because the odor filled up every room we brought it into. That was totally annoying since you needed to hold the light to see almost everything. We didn't even put the lights on our heads we just held them. Our fingers smelled, and we just kept spreading the odor onto everything we touched. Good thing I had sanitizer in there. Another annoyance-The first room had some broken pieces, In the last room, the set of the last clues were broken so it made it difficult for us to follow the picture. We were happy because we escaped it. But we didn't feel good right after because we were very uncomfortable in there. I won't even mention the lack of ac. I went out with a migraine and a sick stomach due to the darkness and smelly uncleaned headlights. Soak them in some Clorox or something- unsanitized items that require wearing (especially during these times) are...
