Walked into the store to browse had a little time to kill was waiting for a text. I was looking for my boyfriend’s daughter. Her birthday is coming up. So I thought I would just check and see if I could find something cute. I was greeted like I should’ve been asked what I was looking for explained I was just browsing had some time to kill. After that, they moved on to the next customer which isn’t a bad thing she seemed to need them to look at a ring. Where they explained that they needed the paperwork. When she told them she was told she didn’t need the paperwork when she came in. Somebody told her that it was in the system. They corrected her stating we need it every time (even though they had worked on the ring) but told her we can go ahead and clean it for you. Which if you can’t work on her ring or look at it without the paperwork, how are you gonna clean her ring? I found that pretty offensive. You can’t look at her ring for problem but you can clean it with no paperwork? I was browsing and another couple came in mom and daughter. They were browsing at engagement rings.I got a text and was reading it, and then was looking at something online for what I was kind of looking for to see if they would maybe have it in the store. The gentleman’s, booming voice scared the daylights out of me, asking me if I had found anything made me feel like I needed to hurry up while I was browsing. Oh all while the female worker was sitting on he rear doing nothing. Made me feel extremely uncomfortable so at that point, I made one more lap around the store to see if anything popped out at me and left. I refuse to feel rushed when I browsing first off. Second guess when it comes time to look at my engagement ring we won’t be going there! By the way the thing was searching for they had at the store wanted 449.99. I found else where for 1/2 the price!! Bonus the customer service was...
Read moreI walked into the Rushmore Crossing store and was immediately greeted by both Farris and Andrea, even though they were waiting on other customers. Andrea was able to provide immediate assistance. My wedding ring had lost a couple diamonds. Andrea did an amazing job explaining the entire repair process to me, all the while making small talk, complimenting my other pieces, and being very thorough in her exam. While Andrea processed my paperwork, Farrica came over, after her customers left, and promptly started inspecting and cleaning my other 5 pieces of jewelry. Both ladies were professional, prompt and very delightful. Andrea also picked up on my cue that maybe I’d been wanting to sell a couple of my rings. She quickly offered information on the Kay Jewelers Diamond Buy Back program. I had planned on selling my rings elsewhere, but after receiving such great info on this program, I will definitely be taking advantage of it! We have been married for over 31 years and I have about a dozen cherished pieces from Kay, and because of my experience with Andrea and Farrica, along with their expertise, I’ll be remaining a Kay Jeweler customer. I’m ready to add my next piece to my collection. I just confess, the last time I was at this store, several years ago, the opening manager was an hour late (we live another state away so we waited in parking lot), and the service was subpar and unprofessional. I am so happy to see this wonderful turnaround at this store that I’ve been a customer at for...
Read moreAfter reading about others, will not be going back here again. The staff members were friendly, but there must be some miscommunication somewhere.
I bought a ring for my boyfriend at the end of November 2023. I was going to give it to him when we went on a trip the following week. As they don't have a jeweler in the shop, I was told it was going to be approximately or at least two weeks to get it resized. I opted not to send it to get it resized at that time, and my boyfriend just wore a ring adjuster in the meantime. At the time of my purchase, I was told I would have a year to get it resized once without charge, and also a year to buy the protection plan/warranty (which I did not/am not planning to do). So last Saturday, May 4, 2024 (within 6 months of purchase), my (now) fiancé and I go in to get it resized, and were told it would cost $60. I informed the woman helping us that I was told it would get one free resizing within a year of purchase even without the warranty, but she said she's never heard of something like that. So the two things I'm upset about are 1. There seems to be lack of communication or misunderstanding between employees on how things like this work, and 2. This place is charging AT ALL for the first resizing when they only carry one size for all the rings on display in the store (I was told by the first employer in November all the rings in the case are all one size). The ring is going DOWN in...
