My family and I went to check out this place because we were visiting from the east coast and we don't have it over there. We ordered a large # 1 and a small # 5 The cashier mistook our order and we received the wrong product. We told the delivery person that it is wrong and he said he will fix it. He prly forgot given that the crowd was endless. That was the second strike but we shared #1 and just waited for the #5. At this point there were no customers left and my mom patiently waited to talk to the cashier. The cashier did not know what to do so she got the manager. The third strike came that the manager had to argue with my mom to ensure the order was mistaken or not. She doubted my mom ever single time from checking how many bowls were on the table (hint there was only one) to double checking the recipt to make sure that we ordered two products. We waited another 10 minutes before two of #5 arrived. At this point I didn't even touch it because the service was so bad. Btw, if my mom did not started speaking Chinese to them, they prly would have feigned ignorance some more and thought we were lying (my mom is not a teenager but was dealing with a teenage manager!). Bottom line, double check your order and if you don't speak Chinese, don't bother coming because the server prly won't even understand you. No wonder this chain has not made out of the west coast. Tldr. We had to wait a total additional 45 minutes for the right order to come. My mom had to speak Chinese to get basic service. The staff thought we were trying to get free food and were very disrespectful to a...
Read moreI go to this place pretty often. Drinks are good and refreshing but the customer service is nonexistent (no friendly greetings, no smiles just a bunch of staff that look unhappy to be there and irritated that you are there). On my last visit I forgot that my kid doesn’t really enjoy the jelly in one of their drinks so after I had already ordered and paid, they were still in the process of making the drinks I asked if one of them could be made without jelly and and the workers all just looked at me like Deers in headlights. Made me feel like I said something really bad. Then finally one of them said that it’s an up charge of 75 cents to not have the jelly which was a little confusing to me because usually it’s a up charge to include toppings. I repeated it $.75 to not have the jelly and he explained that yes because they have to add more fresh mango. So I was like OK and was ready to run 75 cents on my cc but then he said it’s ok this time around. Long story short, when I received my drinks they all had jelly - I asked if they all had jelly to confirm and they said yes and again just starred at me like I was a unicorn and the interaction about the jelly 2 minutes prior didn’t happen. Such a bizarre experience. Business owners need to understand that customers will return to a business for a mediocre product with excellent customer service but will not return to a good product with bad customer service. Customers want to be valued and appreciated especially when they spent their money at your place of...
Read moreTLDR: crowded! (Champagne) mango lover's paradise. Asian-level sweetened desserts--more of a refreshing snack than a dessert.
Soft Opening: MAN is it PACKED! Be prepared to wait in line at the door and even wait to be seated!
This place is so loud. You can't hear yourself think. The background music is drowned out by neighboring conversation and blenders. I wish they had some sort of outdoor seating.
Menu has lots of picture references and little to no descriptions. If you are a seasoned Taiwanese desserter, you will know what each dish will contain and taste like. The majority of items are, you guessed it, mango flavor.
The napkins are cute. Check out the forks and spoons!
Service: order and pay at the counter, you will be given a number, seat yourself (good luck), bus your own table. Extra utensils on the opposite side of the counter towards the back.
Mango Romance: great "sampler dish". The shaved ice cream was the best part in my opinion. I do like the sticky rice balls too. The mango bits were not as great as I was expecting--fairly mushy and bland (not really sweet or tangy). Some mango bits were "veiny/stringy". Overall wasn't sweet.
Overall, nice place to snack on fruit for a refreshment. Don't come here with a sweet tooth or you will be disappointed. The quality of the mangos could be be better in my opinion. Pictures look better than the...
