Disregard for Diversity and Inclusion Policy & Discrimination On a recent visit to this specific Raleyâs, my family member and my Hispanic family member went to Raleys where my Hispanic Family member experienced severe harassment and discrimination by this storeâs security personnel, a clear violation of Raleyâs Diversity and Inclusion (DEI) policy. Despite my family memberâs frequent use of the Instacart app for business with Raleyâs, where she and him assist customers by shopping for them and delivering groceries, the security guardâs behavior was unprofessional and discriminatory. Upon confronting the manager, the manager discovered that there was no reports on them for any suspicious activity. (Even though the security said she had reasonable suspicion due to a report on my Hispanic Family member). My family member's have almost daily interactions with the store and with assistance in completing orders so she definitely recognizes them already. The managerâs response was honest, as he acknowledged that the security had previously discriminated against customers before. The security guardâs actions were not okay. She asked my Hispanic family member to remove his jacket and beanie to prove he was not stealing and caused a commotion by consistently creating accusations the entire time with literally no proof. My family member, who is white who visits the store frequently asked why she had not suspected her of theft. The security guardâs response was evasive, and she attempted to justify her actions by attempting to evoke a sob story to justify her behavior. When my family member directly asked if her discrimination was based on her family memberâs race, the security guard falsely claimed that she spoke Spanish. Instead of answering the question. This was a blatant lie, because she didn't even speak Spanish even when he is a very little to none English speaker. The incident caused significant discomfort to my family members, and they decided to leave the store due to the ongoing harassment. I strongly urge Raleyâs to address this matter promptly and ensure that its employees and security 100% adhere to its DEI policies. Raleyâs does not condone anti-dei behavior. This is explicitly stated in their policy. I will be reporting this incident to corporate. I am sharing this review and experience to raise awareness about this unacceptable behavior. While policies may vary across different stores and companies, it is important to recognize that this behavior is not representative of all such retail stores.    Read moreReally is super fun. ⌠for some reason this is the only Raleys that is open till 11 while every other one closes at 10. Itâs quite unfortunate because Iâm a night owl and I am addicted to the Raleys/Nob Hill, sorbet. More than a dozen times have I just chosen to come to this store because I would not make it to the one near me in time.
Whatâs good about this store is that it seems like everyone minds their business. Thereâs a lot of different people in the store, but you donât realize it until youâre checking out⌠that gosh ⌠Thereâs a lot of beautiful people here. And as you type in your number to hopefully get a discount on these way, overpriced goods compared to the other grocery stores⌠it makes you wonder âdoes that make me a beautiful person too?â
Any store that can make you wonder if youâre also a beautiful person deserves five stars also, the service is exceptional on the store and the fruits are always really good and they seem to trust their clientele because they put the beer and wine right next to the front door. When they have people giving out samples, itâs always good samples and I really just appreciate the store. Itâs taken care of me for many years until now. I moved away and Iâm still coming back to the store. Really appreciate all theyâve done for their community let alone me. Keep up the great job Raleys. Bought "mexican wild shrimp" special on a friday and got home and it stunk at opening. really bad. really foul. i threw it out but should have marched back. waited in line for a 'quirky' clerk who entertained the sad notions of a woman with 3 separate wic orders who struck up conversation about college and he obliged when 4 people were waiting in line for at least 10 minutes. In the mean-time - the line next to us - 2 clerks talking it up until someone in our line said - 'are you open?' in which case, the woman at next counter said, yes - and called over those who were in line behind us. while 3 of us still waited for Wic-ca and College dork to complete their transaction. I got a couple chicken strips from them about a month ago and swear I had to barf about 3 hours later. Convenience appears to be an idiot called UNR staff and students who flock like seagulls to the biggest dump in town. I won't even talk about getting in and out of the parking lot. CVS and 7-11 have wine and tampons at the same price - otherwise, I treck to Winco or Save Mart. Sorry to say this - I gave them a 7 mos. chance since we moved here. No bueno. Old discards, overpriced and cliquey crew who think they work for someone special. Money talks and BS walks, and that is my opinion of this 1...
