Top 10 worst consumer experiences in my life.
We are talking engraving a flask. A job for someone with the acumen of a community college graphic design degree interning after their sophomore year, looking for work....
From start to finish the customer service was abysmal. Their computers weren’t “working”. They couldn’t bring the design up on the computer for us to review. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but today realize it had to have been user error driven. Despite our snafus, we decided to put our blind faith into exclusive engravings to get the simple job done. We double and triple checked her spelling on the last name we wanted on the flask, which to for any self respecting shop owner, should be enough.
Okay, the hard part is over I thought. We spent the last hour aiding her through her own design program to get the result we wanted. Time to pay, this should be easy. Of course, it was not and they couldn’t take care. Fortunately we had cash and paid, but they couldn’t print us a receipt.
Fast forward to day of pickup. I’m excited to get the flask, which is a gift for Christmas, with little time for error. I open the box and the last name is spelled incorrectly. Not even close. My guess is she never saved the design, forgot how to spell the last name, and guessed. Seems a lot easier than picking up the phone, calling my number (which she had on record) and confirming the spelling? Then again, that’s why law is written for “the reasonable individual”, not all of us are reasonable. Exclusive engravings agrees to do another one for us.
Fast forward to the second day of pickup. We were told the flask would be ready that morning. At noon I walk in and was told it was not complete, they were having “technical difficulties” in the back. I explained that I was leaving today and needed the flask in the next 30 minutes. They scrambled and sure enough were able to rectify whatever self inflicted difficulties they had in the back. I opened the box, elementary job complete, and turned to walk out. I was stopped, and told that I had to pay, again. Now, google reviews is not the forum to document the conversation that ensued. Needless to say, I did not pay a second time, and will never enlist exclusive engravings services in the future.

Read moreUncomfortable review alert! I dropped off a (what I would consider expensive) locket to be engraved with a “D”. Upon pick up, the locket was actually engraved with a “B”. I’m sure you can see how this mistake could happen. After a moment of panic for both me and the staff, they offered to fix the issue. With little oversight, exclusive engravings contacted the Jewelers where the locket was purchased. They paid to overnight the locket to the jeweler to have it professionally resurfaced. I just received the locket, engraved with a “D” and it looks perfect.
I really appreciated the initiative this business took to deliver a correct and final product, despite the cost. Mistakes happen, and it’s how we address and correct those mistakes...

I have personally ordered from this business several times (plaques, mugs, t-shirts, name plates, knives, engraved items, etc), you name it they do it!! They are very quick with great quality service. Being prior military when it comes to plaques they are in top of their game. They went into great detail with their work.
