It's a nice statue and what is more interesting is the history behind it or at least the man who is depicted in the statue. I'll let you discover it for yourself but it is interesting. I spent a little time here sitting on the bench and enjoying a bite to eat.

This is a hidden gem. Located in Richmond's historic Jackson Ward. It's not an homage to fast food chicken, but to the actor and dancer usually starring opposite Shirley Temple. It's a micro park with benches and a water feature. I'm pretty sure that water fountain served a very practical purpose many years ago. Maybe someone will read this and know...
