I drove 50 mins to get here. The man locked the door in my face. I asked what the hours were, we said we just closed. I will never come back here. It was a line and a full sidewalk and parking was horrible. Iām very disappointed especially because I told him how far I drove and he smiled and walked awayā¦. Thanks for nothing. The worse part is, he let people in and as we walked to the door, he pulled it shut and locked it⦠wow.
Update- After reading the response from the owner or management team āprotectingā their team member by making an excuse on who they previously let in, lets me know all I need to know about who they are and what they value. And itās not me. But why would they? It was not an employee they let in. It was a customer shopping as I stood at the door in shock that the employee shut the door is my face. Thanks for the offer that you hope I give you another chance⦠but i wonāt. When you tell someone that you drove 50 mins and they look in your face and walk away, customer service I guess from a black woman didnāt matter at that point. He was more than happy to let the other woman in who wasnāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called James at For the Love of Chocolate at 5:25 p.m. today and asked if I could order 30 pounds of Reese's Pieces for my upcoming wedding. I was worried, as I had waited until about 2 weeks before the wedding to call. James assured me that it would be no problem to have that quantity delivered by next week and that he would call me tomorrow to confirm after speaking with his distributor. By 5:40 this afternoon, James had called me back to say he had already spoken with the distributor and had arranged for my order to be hand-delivered next week to ensure timely arrival and no breakage to the delicate candies. He truly went above any beyond to ensure I was happy and that my order would be delivered in plenty of time (and perfectly) for my special day. Not enough people take the time to leave reviews when they receive outstanding service, but so many take to the internet to complain about any difficulties. Thank you, For the Love of Chocolate and James, for providing quality products and services. Your commitment to excellence was noticed and I hope anyone who reads this review will flock...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePOC BEWARE. Service is deplorable. It's astonishing to still be followed around in your 60s because of the color of your skin. Imagine hearing heels clambering behind you turn around and someone almost walks right into you. With a polite smile I said excuse me and was not acknowledged this blonde woman walked past me like I was non existent. I walked to another part of the store and this same woman is glaring at me while I'm looking through the chocolates I sadly realize, I am being watched. This blonde woman is the manager. It is 2024, when are we going to realize this type of behavior can be the death of a business. Hopefully the manager that followed me and was so rude sees this message and realizes she needs some serious training in inclusion. Unless of course she has no interest in POC in her store. What a guy wrenching...
