Believed to be the world's only triple-level train crossing, this trestle marked the junction of the Chesapeake and Ohio, the Seaboard Air Line, and the Southern railroads. The photo of 1926 of these mighty steam locomotives was taken from the south, a view now impossible to duplicate due to the placement of the 1990s floodwall.

The canal walkway was closed where you cross over the water to get to the tracks. We walked over there. Be mindful of railroad no-tresspassing signs over there. I got my photo right beside that sign and didn't venture past it. The old historic photo is hanging on the wall at nearby Main Street Station.
