We absolutely love the ambience and atmosphere of this place. The interior decors and even the bar placement was put together well. The Manager/Owner makes a point to cater to every single table which is pretty awesome.
We’ve been here twice now and the drinks are definitely where it’s at; simply put, the bar is better than the kitchen.
The pizza was very good - we had the ultimate meat - and so was the French Chicken.. is half a chicken worth $40? Absolutely not! Which leads me to my next point..
About the steak.. While I’m aware that stone fire oven is the name of the game here, I was expecting they would’ve at least reserved sear the steak after baking it.. open flame/grill would be preferred but even over a cast would do.. But no, meat came out with no color whatsoever. I even asked the server how it was cooked just to confirm because I couldn’t believe my senses. Imagine putting steak in the oven at home with no seasoning or without searing it before/after - that’s exactly what you’ll get. Not even a pinch of salt or pepper. No color on the steak at all.. for a second I thought it was pork. They could’ve cooked it on a skillet over rosemary & butter and still would’ve turned out better. Very disappointed, especially when you dish out $40 on a piece of meat that’s far inferior than what you’d get at other chains like Texas Roadhouse..
Nevertheless, it’s a good place to hangout with friends, have some great cocktails & tasty apps, and enjoy the ambience. I’ll try more of their finger food next time, that seem to be...
Read moreAs someone who owns a food service business and has worked in the food service industry for many years, I fully understand the challenges of managing multiple tables and the occasional delays that can occur. However, our recent experience at your establishment on 8/13/2025 left us extremely dissatisfied due to a series of service issues that we feel should be addressed. Our party had a reservation for 6:30 PM and arrived promptly. Despite this, it took over 20 minutes before our drink order was taken and more than 45 minutes before we were able to place an appetizer order. From the beginning, our server, Araya, did not provide a greeting or acknowledgment of the delay. When a member of our party attempted to place an order, she responded in a distasteful manner, saying, “Can I finish seating this table first?” before immediately turning her attention elsewhere. Which we didn’t understand, as we had to seat ourselves at our table. When I later asked another staff member (short blonde hair, name unknown) if she could assist in taking our appetizer order, she also responded dismissively, stating, “I’m not your server, I’ll go get her,” before walking away. It was another 15+ minutes before our server returned to take the order. Once our food arrived, no effort was made to clear the table of empty appetizer plates before entrées were served. Attempts to get staff attention to remove them were unsuccessful, and we ended up having to leave the dishes on the table and eat at a severely cluttered table. For a party of our size, it would have been reasonable to have two servers assigned to ensure timely and attentive service. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, professionalism, and attentiveness from the staff significantly impacted our dining experience and we won’t be returning for future events we have. We hope you take this feedback seriously, as we believe proper training and adjustments in staffing could prevent similar situations...
Read moreWe've been here several times since our recent move to Rockford. The first visit, we were absolutely blown away. The pizza is probably the best I've had on this side of the Atlantic, and the gluten free crust is just as good as the regular, only a slight difference in consistency. For anyone with Celiac like my spouse, or even gluten intolerance, you'll know how incredible this statement alone is. They also have a number of gluten-free deserts. Spouse was almost in tears to have a chocolate cake for the first time in about six years since the diagnosis.
Our second visit, however, was a somewhat different story. If it had been our first experience, we might well not have come back. Because we were celebrating having officially signed for our house, we went with the fancier end. My spouse ordered the seafood marinara with gluten free penne, which was.. fine. Nothing too exciting. I ordered the bone in ribeye. It looked quite lovely, and the 'farm vegetables' were delightful. However, it tasted like the ribeye had been cooked with said vegetables, so it ended up tasting like a pot roast. Now, don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good pot roast, more than most. But, when you're ordering a $50 bone-in ribeye, you aren't expecting to get a weirdly shaped slice of pot roast.
Still, on the whole, I can't give it less than five stars, because the staff were friendly and 'just attentive enough' - never leaving us needing anything, but not pestering all through the meal either, and all the food was delicious. And the stellar selection of gluten free options blew us away.
Just stick to the pizzas for entrees,...
