Hachi Sushi — Restaurant in Rockford Township

I have been going to hachi hachi off riverside for a while, today I witnessed a frustratingly horrible conduct by its employees,

I walked in to order food, saw a big delivery box, pointed it out to the lady, she said crap it has been sitting in the open uncovered there for 45 minutes to 50 with a driver available. I told them they need to call it on and make a new order, they said it's ok covered it up and shipped it out then. Whoever ask for delivery today don't pay get a refund don't tip. That was negligence. If they try to charge. Get a lawyer involved. They failed to ship your order and attempt to charge for a spoiled order, because of their lack of care.

Message to hachi hachi manager for Rockford il.This is to common to happen. You need to crack down on them, if they continue this, that facility can and will be shut down for continuous negligence. If they fail to deliver an order when it's ready and it waits longer than 25 minutes. The customer needs to be called, refunded and given a fresh order with no charge. Especially if your people are just gonna be on there personal phones instead of working and being...

3/10/23 Editing my review from 6 years ago. Ordered food here many times in time since initial review. Most recent order (loves park location), Salmon Fried rice was dry, very little salmon could be found, portion sizes have decreased, flimsy new small paper containers. Quality & taste not the same. I introduced someone to salmon fried rice for first time and hachi, what a disappointment. I'll not be back.

As a Pescatarian, finding alternatives is a challenge. I was super excited to see Salmon Fried Rice on the menu here. It was very good, Salmon was cooked perfectly and there was a lot of it. I also ordered Sushi, loved the Veggie (Asparagus), the crab - not so much. The rice was very good, delivery was quick. I also ordered Seaweed salad. It was OK, but I probably wouldn't order it again.

I had always wanted to try Green Tea Ice Cream. Sadly, I didn't like it. It was made perfectly- it just wasn't my taste. If you like Mochi, I'm certain this will be a fav.

Overall, Hachi has great service and even better food, at a decent price (especially for the area!) Love Hachi, and will always come back for all my sushi needs.

I love this place! I would like to give it a 4.5 ONLY because they wait to bring out your rolls until all of the one's you've ordered are done, so the seaweed gets a tiiiiny bit chewy. A lot of places do this, though, so it's not really a big deal! Their raw fish meals are AWESOME and I love their poke bowls! I like eating in, but their take out is of the same quality, so you'll have a consistent experience either way. I love the staff, especially how they genuinely seem interested in your opinions on new menu items, and seem excited for you to try their food. I also love the earings that they sell on the counter by the registers (I own a pair, and they're easily one of my favorites).
