Bearskin Neck Motor Lodge — Attraction in Rockport

A cozy stay in an excellent location - this is definitely a great place to book if you are planning on enjoying some time in Rockport!||I stayed in the queen room, which is certainly the smallest of their rooms. However, I found it charmingly cozy and very clean. There was plenty of helpful information posted about the space and the booking, and I took great advantage of their list of recommended restaurants. Since this is right on Bearskin Neck, you will find yourself right in the middle of everything, but the deck creates a lovely sense of privacy and quiet (as well as an unbeatable view of the ocean and the sunset!). My room was close to the cocktail bar next door, so I did hear some chatter, but the walls blocked out a lot of the sound and muffled it well. If you are bothered by that sort of thing, maybe try one of the middle rooms, but I really didn't mind. The bed was very comfortable, so I slept quite well. I recently stayed in a charming, albeit very touristy, location boasting some of the most spectacular ocean views. This quaint getaway features just 8 apartments, all of which face the ocean—mere 10 feet away from the water at high tide! It's a truly serene experience to watch the wildlife swimming right before your eyes.The picture is from my balcony. We slept with our screen door locked door open and windows open for a comforting ocean sound. The area is bustling with activities, and there's no shortage of stores and restaurants to explore. For a scenic treat, I highly recommend taking a drive towards Gloucester. The route is lined with stunning properties owned by the affluent—a sight to behold!

The Lodge is very clean. The owners, a nice young coupon care about their investment and your comfort to maintain the property so you are comfortable and feel at home. It is a small quite town; when we stayed about half the stores where closed for the season. So, watching TV was, internet use is important. The bathroom in the room is updated and bright, one you would have in your own home, not orange and tan like The Doubletree we stayed in in Danvers, MA that should have been updated 10 years ago, and The Bearskin Neck has better towels also. My only suggestion for the young owners, maybe your next investment are new mattresses for the rooms. Its damp here, we are older so usually have some arthritis.
