No matter how many times you complain, inform, or report issues to management - nothing changes. It seems as this place has only gone downhill since its debut. No security- garage doors are always broken and/or getting repaired because people dont have common sense and drive into them? Vehicular damage out of management control - so how will they solve the problem? There must be another solution. Cars are not guaranteed to be safe within the garage as some resident on the community posts has claimed their car being broken into or stolen? Side entry doors are BROKEN so no need for the key fob to ensure your security, anyone can walk right in. Mail from the mailroom has been stolen, opened, disrupted. Cameras are not plentiful at all nor are they placed properly or systematically. Ooutdoor common areas are dirty and smelly - the sitting areas and tables or covered with spider webs and spiders. Stairwell access is disgusting covered with cobwebs, insects, trash, smeared with dog excrement dried up and not cleaned for MONTHS! For such a large property you would think management would hire a permanent cleaning TEAM to maintain the inside of this huge property but they only really clean the front lobby/entrance, so you may be deceived, but theres only 1 or 2 cleaning ladies we ever see down there. There is no cleaning "rotation" - you can't just claim that if you have not confirmed the condition of this place with your own eyes as the people living here have. No one has vacuumed or shampooed the common hall carpets in ages so they're always dirty. Residents themselves will take initiative to vacuum outside their apt door or pick up after people just because the building mgmt can't hire a proper or large enough cleaning company/team. Even though some people decorate their doors with nice wreaths and doormats other have large pieces of furniture, tables, vases, props etc which are just an overall eyesore and ruin the hotel vibe aesthetic this place could potentially have - you would think thats a fire hazard around the doors and in the narrow hallways. Wifi by Gigstreem is guaranteed to go out EVERY MONTH for 1-3 days time significantly affecting those who mainly work or study from home and is unreliable some days. There is dog poop smeared on the doors, the hall carpets and stairwells, dog urine soaked within the hall carpet fibers, the garage columns surrounded by pools of dog urine, the property lawn and sidewalks are also riddled with dog excrement as there are no trash bins or bags available and people are just lazy dirty and ignorant. Its scary to think what your shoes could be picking up and bringing into your home to your crawling babies and just your health. The dumpsters are open and stink right next to the main garage door. The main lobby and elevator smells like open sewage and nothing is addressed properly. There are always non-residents using the pool, messy drunks and lewd behavior in the pool. The halls are covered in spiderwebs, bugs, strange stains, doors are broken, dog poop all over the place, people smoking on the balconies spreading the smell of cigarette and marijuana smoke in this apparently "nonsmoking building". I'm disappointed with the lack of attention to important details and care by management. Please do better, not just apologize and offer excuses. There are properties just like this without...
Read moreI made a good review two months after moving into these "luxury "apartments and in that comment I made it clear that I wish all my opinion held true; But today I must say that I got the worst impression in my opinion. When I moved in, I entered my apartment, it was dirty, full of dust, no one cleaned it, they delivered it to me without cleaning it, I made a short list of two things that I noticed in the bathroom and main entrance door, and within a month and a half they sent someone To check, this place is extremely expensive which I was aware of but of course for the high price they charge for such a small size apartment they should have better service and quality in many aspects for example many housekeeper areas are dirty for the most part of time, hallways, elevators, lobbies, floors, meeting rooms, coffee making area, the garbage is also full of dirt and bad smell most of the time, my apartment when I moved in had construction defects in an electric light in my apartment did not work and They took a while to help me with that and never offered me an apology or a discount, I knew that the apartment next to I30 would have high noise but it is excessive and horrible 24 hours a day due to the poor quality and use of cheap materials in the construction entering through the window panes all the sound of the wind and cars at all hours making me suffer a horrible migraine and my 6 year old daughter insomnia, the master bedroom already has a crack from side to side in the roof, a month ago there was a storm of rain and on the first floor there was penetration of water and it shows a lack of respect for the high cost that is paid for an apartment here and they still have the floor without repairing that gives a horrible appearance to the building, one of the doors Main entrance to the building was broken for months, very beautiful place, beautiful location but I definitely do not recommend anyone to live here for this high price and this things. I am going to THANK the best person with me and most professional and patient in the office LUCY, I have had no complaints since the first day, she is the best and I will stay with that opinion forever, thank you...
Read moreWe’ve been here a short time, since Jan 1, 2023, having moved from a similar apartment building in Quincy, MA. Here are some of the differences:
Rent is $1,000/month cheaper.
Total space in both places is 1,200 square feet; however, there are some gives and takes that come out ahead for Ablon. The kitchen is open to the living space, whereas our apartment in Quincy was a galley-style kitchen. Total cabinet space is much better at Ablon in the kitchen and the apartment includes a “buffet” area as a bonus with additional cabinets. Both bedrooms have walk-in closets, another plus for Ablon although the bedrooms and bathrooms are quite a bit smaller. I prefer the extra space for our clothes.
We have a view of Lake Ray Hubbard and the I-30 bridge versus a stunning view of the Boston skyline across Dorchester Bay. There’s the extra $1,000/month for the Quincy apartment. Our balcony is on an inside corner at Ablon, whereas we had a wraparound balcony in Quincy on the outside corner of the building. The difference is huge with respect to wind blowing around our balcony furniture. I often had to strap our furniture to the rails in Quincy. Here, nothing has moved an inch since we got here.
We learned our lesson about noisy upstairs neighbors in Quincy where a guy played Dance Dance Revolution at 2 in the morning. We got a 5th floor unit at Ablon. Problem solved.
In Quincy there were two levels of garage parking with a monthly charge of $100/vehicle. At Ablon, the parking is free unless you want to reserve a spot for $125/month. The bigger plus is that there is parking on every level, so if you’re okay doing the five floor climb, you can avoid the elevator altogether (which will come in handy when the fire alarm goes off at 3am).
The bottom line is that we’re very happy here at Ablon and the staff has been very pleasant and responsive...
