I am not one that tends to leave negative reviews for stores, however, after the experience I had today with the store, I felt it necessary. I was told multiple inaccuracies regarding an in store event/class that was listed as taking place tomorrow. I was told the class was online and not in person. After verifying with corporate customer service, they assured me that the in-store class and website was accurate, so I called the store again and asked to speak to a manager this time. The person that answered the phone, Jake, states he was the manager. He reported that the initial person (female employee) that took my call told Jake a story that was completely false. Jake did not seem to care that his employee completely fabricated a story. I did ask Jake that, that be addressed as that was not at all the conversation I had with said employee. I’m turn, Jake started to change his tone with me. He became very defensive and flippant. Mind you, I remained calm. I asked Jake If I could speak with his general manager and he refused to facilitate making that happen. I asked Jake for his first and last name. He told me his name was Jake but would not give me his last name. I understand not wanting to give his last name but he wouldn’t even give me his last name initial. I told Jake that I would be calling the customer service hotline to which Jake responded by saying, “I’m sure you will”, and hung up one me. I have never been treated with such disrespect and pure lack of customer service. I did not do anything that warranted being treated this way, and am quite upset that this is how Jake would treat customers. I have since lodged a complaint with corporate against Jake and the manner in which he treated and completely dismissed me. It saddens me that he is a manager and would treat a customer this way. Please be aware of Jake and his complete disregard for...
Read moreThis was one of the worst experiences I have had at this store. I have been shopping here for years and I have never felt so disrespected until today. I honorably served in the military with multiple combat tours for 28 years. I firmly believe in treating everyone with the utmost dignity and respect and this was not the case for me. I went to the Rockwall store to return a cricut machine that purchased at the Garland store since it was closer to where I live in Rowlett. I had the receipt and never opened the product. I wanted the cricut maker 3 but they gave me the cricut explorer 3 and stated that it would be good enough for what I need. Michael the sales associate stated that these items get stolen all the time and that he couldn’t honor my return because it looked like the box was open. He also stated that I need to either make a claim to corporate or return it back to the Garland store. The Rockwall store refused to return the item and I am so thankful that the Garland store took it back with no issues. I have purchased items from this store for many years. It’s just sad that employees feel that they have the right to not place the honest needs of the customer before their personal bias. Thanks but I will definitely share my experience to all my friends and take my business and...
Read moreExtremely rude staff. Arrived at 6:25 pm on a weekday to get custom artwork I had framed. Waited patiently at the framing counter to be helped while someone was standing in the back room talking on the phone. She finally asked me if I had been helped, to which I replied no. Obviously I hadn’t been helped, but that’s fine. She then asked if I just needed to check out to which I replied no I needed the framing service (which is why I was standing at the framing counter). She then said no one was available to help me. I have never heard of Michael’s framing service only available during certain hours, nor was there any sign that said framing only available during certain hours. They advertise custom framing all over their website and app. Never got an apology. Asked to speak with the manager, and she replied that she was the manager! Wow. Her name was “Jolee” or at least that’s the...
