Uptown Cheapskate Rockwall — Attraction in Rockwall

I recently visited Uptown Chesapeake, resale shop that caught my attention with its variety of pre-loved clothing and affordable prices. Overall, it was a mixed experience, with both highlights and areas that could use improvement.

Clothing Selection: The inventory was impressive in terms of range everything from vintage jackets and designer pieces to casual basics. I appreciated that items were organized by category and size, making it easy to browse. Some pieces were in near-new condition, but others were noticeably worn or outdated, so you really have to dig for the gems. Prices varied some were great deals, others seemed a bit high for secondhand. I do feel there should be a few more experienced people available that take in the clothes that will give more fair prices for trade ins.

Cleanliness & Display: The store was clean but a little cluttered in some areas. Displays were creative and made the space feel boutique-like rather than thrift-store cheap. Dressing rooms were available and clean, which is a plus.

Customer Service: The customer service was polite but not particularly warm. However, when I did ask questions, they were helpful and knowledgeable about the products and store policies. Checkout was smooth, and I appreciated their return/exchange policy being clearly explained.

Final Thoughts: If you’re into sustainable fashion and enjoy the hunt, Uptown Chesapeake is definitely worth checking out. A little more attention to customer engagement and quality control on the racks could elevate the overall shopping experience. I’d come back, especially to see new arrivals or shop...

They post on their website things they take however they don’t tell you they only take clothes for the seasons that your end in other words it’s spring so they didn’t accept fall/winter.. they also don’t say that they don’t take specific brands like old navy.. I brought in 450 pcs all my stuff freshly laundered, ironed on hangers, separated and folded neatly like jeans in one box men’s shirts in another and when I picked up the stuff the didn’t want it was all off hangers all mixed up in trash bags just thrown in and the boxes destroyed and all taken off the hangers and the hangers gown.. very unprofessional in My opinion!!! Dont ask people to bring stuff clean and in good order and give them back their stuff off the hangers in trash bags all mixed up.. very disrespectful!!! The one thing they do is give you fair pricing! Probably won’t be going back anytime soon I took everything they asked for on their website and out of 450 name brand pcs like adidas Levi champion etc they took 15 pcs and threw the remaining in trash bags! The uptown cheapskate in Rockwall was so disappointing. My daughter bought a black Lululemon shirt with her own money that was $30 but it had a giant hole in it. We did not notice upon purchasing it once she tried it on. We saw the hole and tried to take it back in return it. They would not let her return it nor would they give us store credit because according to the Girl that was helping us as we cannot return an item that is damaged because they do not know if it was like that before purchasing. It still had the tabs on it on everything and we tried to sell it back to the store by giving them a bunch of clothes and once again they did not take it. The staff here is a bunch of teenage girls who do not know what they’re doing Management seriously needs to take time and learn how to train properly so situations like this do not happen. There are two girls there specifically a redhead girl who is doing the buys and another girl. I believe her name was Kinsley that they need to train and teach proper customer service skills and overall just how to respect...
