I’m super confused about the reviews that talk about the staff being so kind, they’re always so rude. We went in to go sell our books granted it was 7:43 they close at 8pm they could have simply said no but begrudgingly did it anyways, that was their choice a simple “no I’m sorry it’s too close to closing” we would’ve understood and honestly much rather would have appreciated that I would have understood I have worked in retail for years and if people come in and the task isn’t something you can meet with the time given of closing that’s something different, the guy came outside to help on his way out did the classic “look annoyed at my watch” move to ensure we knew that it close to closing time, and then as I had two bags full of books my husband said we should take them out and put them there and the worker waved his hand in a rolling motion and said “well we do close soon” as to imply can you hurry up so. We had maybe 25-30 books and got I think $3 back lol the actual store book selection is always great but the huffing and puffing to do a job you signed up to do is wild. We will keep traveling to a different location even if Rockwall is closest the staff is...

I called ahead to make arrangements to sell some books. The employee I spoke with assured me the books would be evaluated on the basis of value and then offer me a price. I am downsizing so I took in about 500 books, over half of which were hard cover in excellent shape. They offered me $43.00. Under the circumstances, they knew I was unlikely to box them back up and reload them into my car. And I didn't. I feel like they took advantage of me and will make a tidy profit from their unethical treatment of me. I will never go there or recommend them to anyone. Not great, I brought in a bunch of brand new books, educational for math and some kids books. ALL in perfect condition, probably better than the books I actually bought. I looked up the books before I came here and each could have been worth at least $1 to pay back to me. They only offered $0.65 for about 15 ish books 🙄😒 I was going to donate them anyway, but that's lw-ky disappointing.
