Thank you to Gail and Mary for making me feel like a criminal for wanting to return a handful of jeans without the receipt. From the minute I walked in, it was an automatic, "No, we don't do returns without a receipt. We never do returns without a receipt. It's always been this way." Mind you, this is what the website says: "Returns without a receipt may be eligible for a JCPenney Merchandise Return Voucher at the item’s lowest selling price within the last 45 days when accompanied by a valid ID*." When you click on the exceptions, it has to do with jewelry, mattresses, and delivery fees.
Only once I TOLD them that I know for a fact that they are not following their store policy and I know because I used to work for JCP did they try to "help" me. They said they can give me the 45 day low price as store credit, which I said is fine because they don't fit me, so I can't do anything with them anyway. Gail finally started ringing it up, and it came up in the system. Then Mary said she doesn't even think they sell the jeans I was returning. So again, yet another excuse not to help. They are all Arizona jeans and all have tags. With as much money as I've spent at JCPenney over the last decade+, you'd think I'd receive better customer service. Not only was it irritating, their lack of assisstance was embarrassing - for me as a customer, feeling accused, as well as for them, trying to pull one over on a customer citing "policy".
I will not be returning to...
Read moreI had the worst experience at JCPenneys portrait studios. My appointment was at 1:45pm on a Saturday and it was my first ever maternity shoot so I was very excited. I had a couple outfit changes so I asked if could book multiple sessions or have additional time I was told it depends so to be safe I booked an appointment at the Rockwall and the Mesquite location 1:45 and then 3pm. Rockwall I will never go to again. It's 30 min out the way so I figured with 15 min sessions I should have enough time. When I got there NO ONE mentioned they were running behind and they did not see me until 230. So yes I was in the waiting room for over 30 min the manger Tabitha offered no apology. I stated I had other obligations that day and because she went over the prior appointment time would I get the same treatment at least then I wouldn't have to drive around town and get a my photos dome there. She scoffed said I would only be getting 15 min and because she just accommodated the new born session she had no patience it seemed for me. When I said the session and her actions where unprofessional and I was clearly upset she just said okay so you want to stop gave me the corporate number and sent me on the way. The Mesquite location was by far a better experience. Tabitha needs...
Read moreI am highly disappointed with the experience my husband had at JCPenney. My husband ordered a tuxedo on August 30th to be delivered by September 1st for a wedding we were attending on September 3rd. He received a notification that due to delays the tuxedo would not be delivered until September 5th. Despite attempts to try and get it sooner he was unable to get it and had to wear a different tuxedo for the wedding. The tuxedo was delivered yesterday and he took it to the Rockwall JcPenney today to return it. While there, he was informed that he would not be getting the full refund for the tuxedo because the "value of the tuxedo had dropped." This is not something we have ever heard of before. My husband returned the tuxedo less than a week after purchasing, never wore it and was give a portion of what he paid back. While trying to figure out what was going on, both women who worked with him were very rude and the supervisor threw the receipt at him when he asked for proof that he had returned the suit. This will be our last time shopping at JCPenney as we are upset that they would attempt this bait and switch. As more brick and morter shops close up, it is due to poor customer service such as the one...
