The manager is always arrogant, and talks to customers like they are idiots. He accused me of 'renting' when trying to return a clearly defective movie. Shelves are always packed too tight with cases. I will only be going to the Bentonville store now, as they have been helping me with all of my other needs for many years now. They are nicer about everything and they don't throw the rule book at you at every turn. If there's a fix that is reasonable, they find it.
The Springdale store is 100 times worse. I've never seen their employees help anyone, the shelves are always a mess, I've bought products 4 times from there and I've had to return every one of them because they didn't work and had deep scratches on discs. The first time I went there, I asked where the closest bathroom was since I've never been to the area, I didn't know. The employee responds with 'i don't know, a gas station!' Which was zero help to me cause I didn't even pass a gas station getting there, I didn't know where one was.
It also seems like each one of these stores has their own set of rules they go by. I've bought movies from Rogers, tried to return for trade credit to Bentonville, and they couldn't take it because the movie case said there was a DVD and Blu Ray in the case, but I bought it from Rogers with just the blu ray in case.
I tried going to the Siloam Springs store to buy some GameCube and PlayStation 2 games, and the box price was set as a complete in box label, but there was clearly missing product from the case, so it wasn't actually complete in the box. The employee at the time straight up told me that they were told to mark it as complete in the box from the district manager. So they are trying to...
ย ย ย Read moreThe dude working nights till 9pm is too busy trying to get it in with the girl working that he literally charged me for my brother's Gameboy charger and the charger didn't even work when home. Same dude sold me a game cube game literally brought it back cuz it didn't work he looked at it and said "yeah that should've been thrown out" funny part is he's the one that sold it to me when I bought it. Dude doesn't focus, rushes customers and is really rude. I would fire him. Also no Cash returns? If you sell something that doesn't work you SHOULD give their money back that's like reverse theft. Someone should sue them for selling broken or unplayable stuff since you can't get your money back. Absolutely ridiculous and the one in siloam isn't much better. That location lied and said a game was mint condition when the a maulals were ripped and its in ps2 box not game cube. Games are worth more with bix and manuals and good condition. They lied about condition and sold me a game for the price it costs with new manuals and box but sold me only the disk... loose the game is worth way less the least they could do is give what I paid for like the manual and box or sell cheaper as loose disk. But this location in rogers is ran by complete incompetence. Also the employees brag about how if titles they want come in they'll set them aside so only they can buy it or would offer the customer their own money for it so the store wouldn't get it. Wish we had better local game stores game...
ย ย ย Read moreThis location sold my son and I an original NES console for $99.99 on 5/22/23 that they knew did not work properly. When we got it home and got the flashing red light, we called and were told by the cashier that they'd had the same problems with it but that their manager told them to put it out for sale anyway and that it would be fine. We were informed that our options were to either "keep and it and try to repair it" ourselves, or to bring it back. We obviously chose to bring it back, and were again told by the cashier in person that they knew it didn't work prior to selling it but their manager made them put it out for sale anyway. Further, we were informed that had we waited much longer before returning (it was only around an hour), we wouldn't have been able to get a refund and would only get store credit.
This is the second time we've bought hardware from this location that was faulty. The prior purchase was a set of Nintendo Joycons that didn't securely latch onto the Switch and would slide right off. Same thing, we returned to the store immediately and did have to argue with them to get a refund. This was a couple years back, and I'd hoped it was a one-time thing, but there's clearly a pattern of this store selling hardware that does not work and then planning on only issuing store credit when it gets returned.
We will be avoiding this location while continuing to shop at the Bentonville store, which has been the exact...
