Malco Cinema at Pinnacle Hills lands squarely in the realm of the average movie theater. The cleanliness of the venue is up to par, which is a basic expectation for any public entertainment space. Staff interactions, while generally pleasant, don't particularly stand out from any other movie-going experience, maintaining a baseline of courteousness that one would hope to find anywhere.
A notable shortcoming is the seating. Unlike its older counterpart in Rogers, this cinema lacks the expansive, reclining seats that have become a sought-after feature for those looking to relax and immerse themselves fully in their cinematic experience. The absence of these premium seats feels like a missed opportunity, especially when considering the comfort they add to viewing.
Attendance seems to reflect the cinema's overall middling appeal. Rarely, if ever, does the theater reach full capacity, often hovering around the 50% mark. This could be indicative of a wider lack of draw that the cinema has, possibly due to its average offerings and the competitive entertainment landscape.
Overall, while Malco Cinema at Pinnacle Hills serves as a functional spot for catching the latest films, it doesn't offer much beyond the standard movie theater experience. Enhancements, particularly to seating and perhaps the overall ambiance, could help in making it a more appealing destination for moviegoers seeking something beyond just...
Read moreSuper expensive snacks and wayyyyyyyyy too many previews before watching a movie. Isn't the point of paying for a movie ticket so you don't have to watch ads? The movie was supposed to start at 7:30, but didn't start until around 7:50 after probably around 30 different ads/previews. How much money does the theater make from these ads? Shouldn't the admission price be free? I'm being generous by leaving 4 stars as I originally was going to leave 3. I really want to see the movie theater business succeed, but it's looking pretty grim. The industry needs to bring back old movies from the 80's and 90's perhaps one night a week... budget night. I've seen theaters do this in several different cities and is usually a success. Just an idea... Also it isn't a fun experience to be restricted to specific seats. Most people don't want to sit 3 inches away from a stranger or have their feet right behind your head. If you pick a reserved seat then someone else decides to pick a seat near you then what?...
Read moreI went to the movies the other night and had a nice evening. The only reason I am giving a 4 star review is because when I came into the theaters I had purchased my ticket online. It said I needed to get the tickets from the ticket booth. There was nobody there and several other people looking around confused as to why nobody was selling tickets. So I decided to just walk into the movie since I had indeed already purchased my tickets. I seriously could have brought a football team through the front door and marched right into the theater no problem… The next thing was the heavy advertising for employment opportunities at malco during the previews~Snack master, bar tender etc. bro I just wanted a ticket man up front. Anyways it gets a little better. After the movie, I had a valued customer come up to me asking where all of the employees were. To our surprise we walked out to the main area which we were able to find 1 guy selling popcorn....
