Absolutely the WORST curbside I’ve experienced anywhere since COVID started!!! I pulled up, checked in & NO ONE ever came out!!! I called the store maybe 10-15 times!! NO ONE ever answered!! I even tried different departments & NO ONE answered!! I called the main Customer Service number & they said they couldn’t help me!! REALLY?!? Corporate can’t even contact a local store!?!?! I waited 25-30 minutes not knowing if anyone was ever coming!! Even though I was sick & my kids were napping in the car we all had to get out & go into the store to ask about my order. I was hardly given an apology & then waited 10 more minutes!! No real apology was ever given!! Then when the girl came out with my package, instead of bringing it to me she walked out the door with it & I had to run after her to catch up in the parking lot! This JcPenney's has gone down tremendously since 2020!!! You need to get back an order counter so when people need to pickup an order they have a live person they can actually contact!!! Read moreI went to Penney's for Black Friday this year after seeing several of their amazing deals online. I did not read closely enough to see that the prices are after mail in rebate but since I had already braved the crowds to get the product off the shelf, I went ahead and bought several kitchen items. I filled out all of the forms and mailed them off. I bought these items as gifts for others. They marked my refund as invalid because I did not mail the UPC from the box, which was never asked for on the forms by the way. I explained that the items are gifts but I could give pictures or even just the numbers themselves. The first representative refused to assist me at all and said to contact someone in 2 hours. The second representative said without the UPC numbers (which I offered to give) he couldn't help me. Naturally, I asked to speak to a manager. I was given a phone number to call and wait on hold for AN HOUR AND A HALF!! Is this what JC Penney's consider good customer service? I have shopped here often but had never had a reason to contact customer service before. Now that I have, I have reconsidered frequenting this establishment. I will conduct business...

Atiquated BOGO 1/2 off sales on any men's clothing when I want to buy just 1, so I inevitibly head to Kohl's where I run into the same thing and end up purchasing on Amazon for less than I would have paid at either place. I would prefer to buy my clothing at a brick-and-mortar store, but (A) 90% of the men's clothes are hideous. The premium clothes are designed to look fun and colorful in a retail store but are impracticle in a real-world setting, and the budget clothes look as if they were designed to be sold at garage sales. (B) The store is full of over-priced name-brands and low quality store brands that should last you about 3 washes, (C) insulting "sales" like BOGO 50% off (which equates to a 25% discount on each item, easily beat by online competetors), (D) the frustration of driving to a store for a pair of Dockers and finding out there's a BOGO 1/2 off and you have to pay $60 unless you buy a second pair, so you really end up having to pay $90, before tax.
