Jake's Performance Hobbies — Attraction in Rohnert Park

Whenever I go to Las vegas, to visit family, there's a hobby shop I go to called Friendly Hobbies. The name tells you all you need to know about the people who work there. Today, I drove from San jose, to Rohnert Park, specifically to go to Jake's Performance Hobbies. If Jake were to add a subtag to the shop's name, he could, quite literally, say "The extra friendly hobby shop".

I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to RC in general (primarily off-road vehicles, and FE boats), but, where no-prep drag racing is concerned, I'm a total newb. Jake not only took the time to answer all of my questions, but some of his answers raised more questions, but she was more than happy to provide answers to. One might say he gave me a 90-minute "crash course" in building a no-prep drag car...and, he was more than happy to do so. While I will continue going to my primary home shop, and track (NorCal Hobbies), for all of my off-road RC needs, when it comes to RC drag racing, Jake's Performance Hobbies will, most definitely, be my #1 "go-to".

I had such a fantastic experience at Jake's Performance Hobbies. I had an unfortunate crash with my Arrma short course truck into a light pole, at a speed 40+ mph. The damage was severe, I was promptly greeted by Aiden, who was not only friendly but also highly professional.

Aiden disassembled my RC and showed me all the broken parts, which were quite extensive due to the severity of the crash. He then proceeded to explain what parts were needed for the repairs, and even more importantly, he informed me of the parts that weren't necessary, ensuring I wasn't spending money unnecessarily.

Aiden managed to fix my RC truck within about 15-20 minutes. The total cost, which included parts and labor, was very reasonable, making the overall experience even more satisfying.

I cannot recommend Jake's Performance Hobbies enough. The quality of their service, their efficiency, and their honesty is truly commendable. A huge thank you to Aiden for his hard work and dedication! I will definitely be returning...

Jakes is one awesome RC place. I just got back into RC and live in Napa so their isnt a lot of close places for RC. So I decided to give Jakes a visit and am so glad I did. With this whole internet tax thing that just went into effect there isnt as much a savings buying online anymore. And not only did I get the car I wanted at Jakes it was actually LESS than retail. The service and friendliness has made me a permanent customer. If you are looking to get a new RC give this place a chance to win your business. They carry a lot of cars and trucks. Traxxas, Arrma, and more. I just bought my first Arrma and am a huge fan. So now that I know there is a close shop that carries them thats where Ill be going for the next...
