My older brother's birthday was today, so me, him, and my mom decided we would go out here to see the new Captain Marvel movie. When we arrived and got our tickets, we noticed our first big problem with the theater: there were not enough staff members behind the Dine-In counter to the point where more and more were filling up behind the line. Still, we didn't think it would harm us that much, seeing as how we still had a lot of time to spare (we arrived at 6 and our movie didn't start for almost half an hour). So after making our way to the front of the line, we ordered a chili dog and chicken tender triple feature (which comes with curly fries and a cookie), as well as a regular chili dog, only for us to be told that the hot dogs weren't ready yet and it would be about 10 minutes before they were. So we think, well okay, that's fine, just as long as they're done before the movie starts. Almost 5 minutes before that's about to happen, we FINALLY get our food. Keep in mind the kitchen had only about 5 or 6 people who were trying to fill orders for almost 30 or so people who were constantly coming through the line; not a smart move on management's behalf to stock so few people. By the time I had already made my way back to the theater where my mom and brother were with their food, I discover that they had only delivered just my hot dog and had forgotten the rest of my order. Frustrated, and with the movie starting in only 2 minutes, I hustle my way back to the Dine-In counter, explain the mistake to the staff behind the desk, and they stare at my ticket and food for almost 15 seconds, as though it takes them that long to figure out how they screwed up. So, they run back to fix it, and by this point I feel ready to ask them if I could talk to their manager, because I was angry at the disarray that this place was in. After an extra 10+ minutes, they FINALLY have the rest of my food ready, and by that point, the movie had already started, so I had to rush all the way back to my theater, up several flights of aisle steps and over and in front of several people who had already sat down in order to make my way to my spot. AMC Rosedale management, if you are reading this, for the love of God, DO A BETTER JOB OF ORGANIZING YOUR STAFF AND MAKING SURE THERE ARE ENOUGH PEOPLE ON DUTY TO HELP SUCH A LARGE INFLOW OF CUSTOMERS!!! The only reason I don't rate this lower is because the design of theater is actually quite nice (but doesn't hold a candle to Marcus Oakdale, where I normally frequent). Will not be coming back here...
Read moreThe Roseville AMC is absolutely disgusting. Upon walking in, the concession area was littered with trash and old popcorn. I was excited to get “freshly popped popcorn” (as the menu has it titled), however they had pre-prepared buckets under the warmer. I asked the young woman how long it had been sitting out and was given the response “I don’t know but we do top them off”. I thought to myself oh, mean to tell me the bottom half is old popcorn and the top is fresh? Another young staff member said “oh it’s probably been about 5 minutes”, mind you we were in the building, getting our prepaid tickets checked, and waiting in the AMC premiere member line for over 5 minutes. Not only that, but we waited in the premier line longer than those who came after us in the regular line. The staff was helping the other people in line before coming to us who pay extra for that perk. So we got our popcorn and I went to the bathroom. The bathrooms were so gross. There was what looked to be like urine on the floor and it reeked like pee. Hardly any of the stalls were usable as they were covered in toilet paper etc as seen in my video that is attached to this review. We got halfway through our popcorn and it ended up being extremely stale. My boyfriend decided just before the movie started to dump it out and get a fresh refill. He asked the man at the counter if the popcorn was fresh. The staff member said yes, then proceeded to the popcorn scoop area, picked up the scoop, dropped it down, and then took and old bucket of popcorn from the warmer and dumped it in our bucket. We didn’t finish our popcorn as it was still cold and stale. Once the film ended, I went back to the bathroom to see that it was in the same exact filthy state from 3 hours prior. This was a horrible experience and I will urge my boyfriend to either make sure we go to a different AMC next time or to cancel his premier. Why should we support a company that doesn’t care about the quality of food, staff, or environment? The staff blatantly lied to our faces and didn’t seem to care. Whoever owns this AMC needs to take pride in what they do instead of letting it turn into the mess it is. No wonder streaming is a more popular option— I’d rather watch films in my own home with a clean bathroom, fresh food, and a 4k OLED with surround sound. Folks, skip the popcorn, or even better, skip this theater. Support a small local theater that actually cares about...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I saw Eternals last night at Rosedale AMC in the Dolby at 7:30, after it was over around 10:20 or so I went to use the restroom and my boyfriend waited to watch the after credit scene. I walked into the women’s restroom right next the Dolby theater and there was only a staff member in there cleaning the stall diagonal from the one I entered. I began using the restroom and the staff member looked through the crack of my stall and walked away. I was so freaked out and confused by this, but when I got out of the stall he wasn’t in the restroom anymore, he was right outside the restroom. I asked him, very upset, why he looked into my stall? He said, “I didn’t know who was in there.” I was even more disturbed and upset at this point explaining to him that I walked right passed him closed the door on a stall and started using the restroom and he thought it was okay to look in the stall?!? I said you don’t think that’s weird or wrong, he said no I just didn’t know who was in there. So again I repeat myself trying to get him to understand how inappropriate that is and how upset I was. He didn’t seem to get it, he just kept saying the same thing. Another employee walked up to our conversation and began to listen until I asked him did you hear any of that, hoping he would agree with me because I am baffled at this point and feel like privacy was violated. The other employee agreed and said that was not okay. I left at that point not knowing what else to do besides file a complaint with AMC Corporate. I have been trying to contact customer service at the corporate level and and Rosedale and was unable to speak to anyone. There isn’t even an email to contact them. So I’m hoping that this review will prevent that employee from ever doing this to anyone else. I didn’t get his name but his ID number is 143 as he was also the person who helped us get our snacks before the movie and thank god I saved the receipt. I really hope AMC takes this seriously because this is beyond inappropriate,...
