Smack Shack Rosedale — Restaurant in Roseville

If I could rate my experience a zero I would. I came to visit my family member who works for a retailer in the mall and while I was there I thought I would grab a bite to eat. The food court is welcoming and I seen a burger place and I thought that would be great. Their Octoberfest burger looked great but not a single person to take my order when I was at the bar. I waited 12 min while looking at the three cooks who were in the kitchen and watched them laugh, eat, play on their phones while not a single person waited on me. I wanted another few minutes and positioned myself where they could see me so they could either help me or send someone to help, but after making eye contact they went back to laughing and sharing things on their phone.

I just get up to leave and the “server”/“bartender” the young woman…ear buds in races to the back and I’m stupid enough to sit down again. She makes eye contact and then leaves again, but not before making her friend and herself a drink.

Been wanting to go, went, didn’t know there was a full bar, wonderful, upon seating myself at the bar I was directly in front of a worker who I could tell was focusing on counting but I immediately felt that, I don’t see you vibe and sure enough when she was done she immediately turned away like I was a ghost, there was a gentleman pouring a drink to the right of me and another woman walked up to talk to the other woman that ghosted me and not one person said anything close to “Hi, I’ll be with you in a moment”, nothing, As soon as I was contemplating getting up to walk out, the guy turned and said “hi, how can I help you” he turned out to be cool, I think he was inexperienced but the experience turned me off I like bars that are welcoming if I leave there questioning what just happened, there are a zillion more places to be ignored at. The shrimp basket I had was basic, had better, and what seafood place doesn’t have cocktail sauce?! and the Hurricane drink didn’t give the fruity refreshing vibe I’m used to. Liked...

The location in Mpls is great as far as food, service and friendly staff. I’ve been to the Rosedale mall location a dozen times and every time I go I pray that I get good service but every time I am let down. The staff is incredibly rude. For instance, last time I went there last month December… I accidentally gave the cashier an extra dollar I said oh I think I gave you an extra dollar he looked at me and said you did… I’m super confused as to why he counted it out and didn’t even tell me first for one and for two no smile or sorry or anything like that. He’s been the cashier multiple times and I don’t know what the attitude is for, seriously lacking customer service skills. absolutely no smile or any type of human interaction basically acts like a robot.
