If the manager and salesperson tell you that the delivery people will pick up the old mattress and boxspring, but the delivery guys failed to do that, don’t be surprised. My dad is 77 years old and he didn’t even think to remind them, his memory is not what it used to be, but he shouldn’t have to remind them to take it away. He paid $300 for white glove service and did not get what he paid for. They did not even put the new mattress cover on the new twin mattress for him. They were in and out five minutes my dad said. Very disappointed for as much money as he spent on a twin size mattress with motor base. I called customer service to make sure that they would come back to pick up his Queen mattress/box and now he has to wait until Tuesday the 15th, almost a week later. So now he’s sitting with a queen size mattress In his bedroom and queen size box spring in the dining room. We are in the process of getting the condo ready for my mom to come home from the nursing home on April 21 so this is a huge inconvenience. I myself have a sectional from this store being delivered on Saturday. This will be our last purchases with this furniture store. Not only that, when we got there, we had to wait over an hour for a salesperson to help us. Both the salesperson and the manager were trying sell me hard on additional insurance for the sectional. Only $300! Even though I said no multiple times, they still wanted to pitch it. At the end of the day, I did not take it because I switch out my furniture every couple years. No means no. I felt disrespected, but didn’t let it show at the time. There are plenty of other furniture stores where we can take our future business. Three stars overall because I do like the sectional, but the service was somewhat lacking in our shopping experience with Bob’s Discount Furniture. If the delivery guys had just taken away the mattress and boxspring, as agreed, I would’ve never written this review. But you mess with my dad, you mess with me. We found a dining set we loved, but the 8-week delivery time was a concern for us. Peter empathized with our situation and explained the reasons behind the wait, without any pressure to make an immediate decision.
Most notably, Peter's understanding and reassurance regarding our toddler exploring the store was a game-changer. It's not often you find a sales representative who makes you feel completely at ease, especially when shopping with a child.
As someone with 13 years of experience in sales, I can confidently say Peter is among the best sales reps I've encountered. His genuine, human approach to sales is a rarity and truly commendable. Although we didn't end up purchasing the dining set due to the delivery timeline, our experience with Peter was so positive that it deserves recognition. It's clear from other reviews as well that this level of service is a consistent trait of Peter's.

Vanessa was incredibly knowledgeable, listened attentively to our needs, gave great recommendations while not overselling or being pushy, and was delightfully personable. After looking through a variety of options, we finally found a couch that not only fit the basics of what we were looking for, but also exceeded our expectations with bonus perks (thanks to Vanessa). The color wasn't exactly what we were looking for at the time, but it was a neutral color we were fine with. Our couch was delivered today via white glove service and the delivery guys were wonderful! They were prompt, polite, efficient, careful with our purchase, personable, and professional. We noticed a slight, subtle stain on the corner of one of the back cushions and one of the delivery guys didn't hesitate to call it in to get it scheduled for a fix immediately (free of charge). All things considered, this was incredibly minor as the couch is comfortable, fits the space well, and the color looks even better than we expected to the point we're glad the store didn't have the darker shade!
