I wanted to love this place…thought the concept of serving women over 65 was brilliant, but my experience was far from brilliant. I went in with a particular health complaint but since I was new I was processed as a first time patient (general health questions, collection of health history etc). My particular complaint was identified on that first visit as being heart related and a tests were scheduled. All tests came back as either good or inconclusive. This took place over the course of a couple months. I was not getting any better but my PA who received and I hoped was monitoring the results never suggested we explore any other avenues. I finally got fed up with feeling so bad set up another appointment with her and requested a blood test. It took almost 48 hours for them to get back to me with fact my hemoglobin level was 6.5 and that I needed to go to ER. It was 6.2 when they admitted me and gave me blood and iron transfusions. Why wasn’t a blood test given when I first complained about fatigue, shortness of breath, weakness? I was told since it was a first visit that isn’t standard. During all of the heart testing I also discovered that the test results from the different clinics/labs are not automatically shared ie. I’m meeting with a cardiologist who can’t see/find my MRIs. Herself Health does not use the same medical platform that the majority of providers in the Twin Cities use to record findings. So you need to manage that yourself. The personnel I met at Herself Health were all very nice but if you have a health issue and want a proactive individual looking after your well being I would not recommend this clinic. I am writing this as I wait for results from blood drawn 27 hours ago. They do not have a lab and only do blood tests on Wednesday. The person who drew the samples said she would expedite the pick up so I wouldn’t have to wait so...
Read moreI had a ride that pickup me an hour early. On arrival I was sitting patiently for the building to open at 8am. The opener saw me and she explained she could not let me in because a Dr was not there. After we chatted she told me to come in and took me to the community room and offered coffee. I was in a Wheelchair. I thought this was a thoughtful person and so fears faded away. Yes, I recommend this clinic favorably to friends and encourage them to check it out. I felt everyone was kind and...
