Nail Perfection — Local services in Rossville

Went to get my nails done by Sophia after seeing a photo of her work online. I wanted an ombre overlay just as pictured. When she was applying the powder it was done so sloppy. The acrylic was so thick and it didn’t cover my entire nail. I’m thinking this can’t be the person that did the nails I seen online. I only let her do one hand and told her I didn’t like it and to remove. She said she would buff the nail down to make it thin. I again told her that I didn’t want her to finish. She immediately got upset saying she doesn’t know what’s wrong with me. What’s wrong is I don’t like the service and I’m not paying for sloppy work. So she had me soak it off while having an attitude. Afterwards she told me to ask the other nail tech that had witnessed my disapproval. The other nail tech told me she only does manicures and pedicures not acrylic. Sophia would not have sent me over to her if she didn’t know how to do it and she had her certification displayed at her station. But whatever she just didn’t want to do my nails because I didn’t like Sophia’s work. So I left and went to La Nails and my nails are perfect. I will never be returning back to this place. Walked in there today like I have for a few months. It’s 08/31/23 today and I only walk in for eyebrows. I was sat on a waiting chair when a roach (or what looked very similar to a roach) crawled on my hand. I screamed - as I have a phobia but apparently that was insulting to Amy because “it’s not even a roach.” Inch and a half in size and golden brownish color- I assumed it’s a roach. What’s worse is that I sat there only to hear Amy talk to another customer about me and the “roach/bug” situation. That’s when I shouted across the room and apologized for saying something that may have offended her. But did that stop her and the customer (regular) from continuing to talk “in secret” not knowing that I can hear them loud and clear-no. I got up and apologized one last time and left. The reason for me apologizing- bc I may have actually offended someone with my choice of words calling it a roach. And I probably would’ve stayed and continued to go back but unfortunately- it’s was the part where Amy choose to entertain a conversation about me and the situation while I sat there. I've been going to Amy for almost 9 years now and I'm always ecstatic after leaving the salon. There hasn't been a time she hasn't executed my intricate nail designs to a tee. Numerous color, rhinestones, designs, color schemes, it doesn't matter what I ask for I'm always happy when I leave. I have thick eyebrows and love them shaped a certain way, she's beyond superb. She always use the best products and make you feel at home when I'm there. Teresa has been doing my toes for a little over 2 years and I'm never disappointed. Talk about taking a girl from bad to fab in an hour or less. Hunnie 💕I simply adore these women. They bring me back to life every time. Love it here, no place better.
