Went in yesterday evening with a few of my siblings since we like to stop by when in the area. The lady at the counter was super friendly and had a good attitude towards everyone. When we got in and were looking around there were two guys who looked to be irl twitch streaming and pointing their camera at customers and anyone else in the store. The lady could tell we were uncomfortable and had asked them to leave. They of course tried to start an argument/disagreement with her over it but she kept calm and just got them on their way and out of the store. I enjoyed knowing that there was an employee there who took pride in keeping their customers safe and comfortable. Good job gameover she is awesome.
Update: still glad to come back to this location. The really nice lady was still there and still nice as ever. Me and my friends were greeted at the door along with another swarm of people (guess we brought a crowd) she and this other guy were ontop of their customer service. Greeting people, asking if we needed anything and just an overall pleasure. We walked in when they were in the process of looked like buying something from someone. I wanted to listen in for educational purposes but didn't want to be rude since I've never sold anything before. Both the lady and the guy were professional with the process and nicely explaining/breaking down things for the customers they were doing the buy back for and im glad to see they really do get trades daily. It's nice when employees actually explain or breakdown things for those of us who don't understand. I know this is retail/resell so it's nice to have nice people explain things with such professionalism and kindness. Also I finally got the lady's name! So miss deedee if you see this great job in the things you do. The guy in the blue shirt I couldn't catch his name but sir you also did a great job! I will definitely keep coming back and keep telling my friends and family...
Read morePlease take your business else where. Called to inquire about testing a console and was met with a snappy remark on the phone that unless i plan on selling it don't even bother coming by. Ok...what if i want to test the console and if it works I'll wind up buying cables and games from your store? This was the first red flag that this business doesn't actually have a love for retro games or gamers. Regardless, I still made the mistake of coming to this location and when I entered the store and told the two workers that I wanted to sell my Dreamcast they instantly spouted out that without the cables they will only give me $5. Five whole dollars for something they will turn around and put a $100 sticker on once I walk out the front door. They did not offer to test the console first or even give me a second of their time. They were too busy pricing video games well over market value to give any sort of attention to their customer. Prices here are also astonishing and insulting. It blows my mind that small businesses like this still try to rake you across the coals when Ebay exists and you can simply look how much you can get the game/accessory for online. Everything was marked up beyond belief and the place gives off an evil vibe. It feels like a company that has zero love for video games and just wants to exploit people who are looking for a nostalgia hit. The people they hire also clearly give off the same energy and could not care less about you or your old retro videogames. They just see dollar signs. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place and just shop online at DKoldies or Ebay if you are looking for a nostalgia fix. At least the name of the company is fitting because it will be game over for your wallet if...
Read moreWe would have enjoyed ourselves if we didn’t have to leave the store right away for being a major health hazard . Upon entering the store we were attacked by the unpleasant heavy smell of mold and or mildew. My partner immediately was having a hard time breathing once in the store. We asked the nice girl at the register if she was alright since she was breathing in mold/mildew . Thankfully she said she always wears her mask. She was a very polite girl greeted us when we came in and checked on us since my partner was having a very hard time breathing in that store. We would have stayed longer than five minutes but we couldn’t. I’m not sure if the people who are in charge of the up keep of the store are just used to the smell or haven’t noticed or just don’t care but from a customers experience your store needs to find the source of the mold/mildew before your employees get sick and or worse customers can’t breathe while shopping just like my partner. That’s a major...
