Buyer Beware of Bait & Switch Tactics!
Ordered a Valentine's Day arrangement for my wife titled as 'Always on My Mind - Two Dozen Long Stemmed Red Roses'. There were no separate options within that selection. What got delivered was 18 roses. I checked my order confirmation email and the product description details in the email conflict with themselves. One spot says it's only a dozen roses, another spot says it's 18. I purchased off the sku title! There was no other information there at the time.
My assumption is that in order to prepare for Valentine's day which is a florist's Super Bowl, they naturally updated some of their offer titles and prices, but it appears they missed some of the sub descriptions associated with certain options that were removed from the site at the time, but apparently remained part of email confirmations. Shame on me for expecting a straight forward transaction and not reading the details of every order confirmation I place on every site, every time. We did not receive what was paid for and advertised.
Post Valentine's, they've updated their website and it's back to normal where the 'Always on My Mind' arrangement has good/better/best options of 12/18/24 roses.
I called the store, they claimed that they never updated anything on the 'Always on My Mind' sku for Valentine's. That I ordered 18 and got 18. That's interesting considering my confirmed order subtotal was $149, which is not currently the price of any of their options. Obviously there was an update...
Two other issues: The flowers had some type of coating on them I'm sure to help keep them looking fresh when delivered but they still seemed to wilt ridiculously fast, vs buying fresh roses from somewhere like HEB. Lastly, I put an order note request in to deliver the flowers to my wife's building before 11:30am. The delivery driver called my wife (recipient's phone number for delivery issues) in the early morning, literally hours before making the delivery, just to make sure she would be there... Talk about a diminished surprise.
I'm still rating 3 stars because my wife ultimately did love the flowers when she received them on...
Read moreIf I could I would give negative stars. I strongly advise seeking a different florist than 620 Florist due to their subpar service and lackluster floral arrangements. My experience with them was disappointing; the flowers appeared neglected and lacked the vibrancy that typically brings joy. Initially, I was hopeful after receiving beautiful arrangements from my sister-in-law, but my own order for an anniversary was a letdown. The flowers were not fully opened, and the arrangement seemed hastily put together. This forced me to request a refund and scramble for a last-minute alternative, which was incredibly inconvenient. Despite receiving my money back, I am left frustrated and bewildered by how this business continues to operate. The quality of the arrangement I received, crafted by a staff member named Rose, was unacceptable, and I believe there should be accountability for such poor workmanship. I have included photos that illustrate the stark difference between what was advertised and what I received, highlighting the inadequacy of their offerings. I hope this review encourages others to consider alternative options for their...
Read moreI'm a long time customer of this flower shop - a LONG time. Unfortunately, the last 2 times I have received arrangements they have been skimpy and with flowers of poor quality. I placed an order online for a specific arrangement and wanted the larger version for $150. I received a call from the florist that the flowers for the arrangement were not available - no problem, I encouraged them to use more roses and anything pink and explained this was for my friends 50th birthday. I picked up the flowers on my way to her birthday celebration and they were super skimpy with lots of greenery to fill it, and the roses were all brown and dried on the ends of the petals. For $150 I got foliage, 6 roses and spray roses plus a couple of lilies and carnations. I could have done a better job myself by picking up better quality flowers from Costco. The vase was also not the one it was supposed to be, it was the cheap generic one. Since I was picking it up on my way there I didn't have the opportunity to ask them to correct it. Meanwhile, I was sent flowers to me from Floral Fabulous on Mays and they were amazing! Going to try them next time...
