lived here less than a month. staff is completely ignorant and unwilling to help and admit they made a mistake. because of their ignorance and unwillingness to help, I am now stuck paying almost $400 for my truck to get released from the towing company. I was not notified in any way shape or form prior to the truck being towed.
upon speaking to the leasing agent (who opened the office up 30 minutes late), her face went completely pale as she realized her very apparent mistakes. prior to calling a property manager, she admitted that she remembered selling me the carport shortly after move-in, which led me to believe there would be some sort of resolution, especially given I had to miss an entire day of work due to this. that belief changed extremely quickly once a destiny (property manager) was contacted.
destiny proceeded to immediately voice to me that their leasing agents “never” make mistakes like that, yet she had already acknowledged selling it to me prior to calling.
in following conversation with destiny, she refused to admit that any apartment manager towed my brand new pickup out of a carport that the leasing agent said I was signed up and paying for. come to find out, the leasing agent did not actually sign me up for said carport. they even went as far as to lie to me and claim the carport had leased out “long before I got here”, which would be near impossible, given that I have been parked in it every single night for all 24 days of residence without a single issue or warning. the carport has never ONCE had a vehicle other than mine sit inside of it at any point in the day/night. I was then told that the “resident” that “actually pays” for the carport was supposedly the one that called for the tow(in the middle of the night), yet the towing company has notes and explicit directions listed from a property manager.
on top of all this, I was told that there is “nothing they could do” to remedy this and that “I should know the policy because of the signage”, speaking to me as if I was dumb. do they really think I would illegally park for 24 days straight and risk my brand new pickup getting towed after moving across the country to a new state?
simply put, there was absolutely no common sense used at any point in my interaction with destiny. she repeatedly refused to let me look at camera footage as it “is of their own perogative” to show that, only because it has proof of their leasing agent helping me pick out a spot closest to the gate/entrance I use (which has been busted wide open every single day i’ve resided here), but not actually following proper procedure in order to add it to my lease agreement. as this is my first solo apartment, I had no way to know otherwise and I trusted that the staff would be intelligent enough to handle something so simple.
would give 0 stars if possible due to overall negligence, ignorance, and intelligence level of staff in a...
Read moreAs of today 2/25 I have lived here for 13 days. Overall positive experience. Professional leasing office staff. Most of the amenities match the standard I expected. Will need to give the grills a shot soon. Apartment was as described and everything works. Maintenance responded in a timely fashion to get batteries for the smoke detectors. The small interactions I’ve had with residents have also been polite. No noise complaints or other concerns. Being forced into using Ghostfiber for faster services than satellite is unsatisfactory especially since they charge higher prices for slower service then average (compared to frontier or spectrum). The fitness center is a bit disorganized. Seems like getting rid of the assisted pull-up machine and putting in another smith machine or even a bike would be nice.
5/28/24 Edit: It has now been 3.5 months that I’ve lived here. Disappointed in the fact that other residents will leave any and every type of trash in the stairwells. Drink cups, plastic bags, even old underwear once. It has been storming these past couple of hours and the threshold to the patio has either failed or was not installed properly, there is water infiltrating into my apartment. Left a message for management office.
9/16/24 Edit: I have now lived here over a 7 months. In that time the property gates have not worked over half my stay. The access control switch over was poorly communicated, poorly planned, poorly installed, and just overall a disaster so far. Not sure what hacks they hired to do this but it is garbage. Passive aggressive email notices are annoying. Be better and people wouldn’t be mad at you. The positives here are not outweighing the negatives in my opinion.
11/8/24 Edit: It rained earlier in the week and what do you know, more of the gates no...
Read moreI toured these apartment about a week ago and I really liked what I saw. I was told the price and it was a little out of my budget. Last night I was looking at the floor plans and I saw an apartment I was interested in was about $300-400 under what the guy told me the apartments were going for, so I made an account and got a quote. This morning I called to ask about application process & security deposit as well as to make sure I was looking at the right apartment. I was told the apartment I was looking at already had been leased out and someone had moved in, but they had one smaller unit for $100 more. I was also told the website was incorrect and the security deposit would be either $750 or $500 for one bedrooms but they would ask their manager and call me back. I decided to go ahead and consider the smaller one that costed more. I never got a call back. I decided to call again and asked about the security deposit and I was told that she didn't know and would call me back in 10-15 minutes. Well I got a call 3 hours later saying it was definitely $750. All this to say, I was ready to settle for a smaller apartment for more money until realizing they expect me to pay over $1000 in deposits and fees (admin & application fee would be $300 for 2 applicants) before even moving in (plus however much rent is). That is downright ridiculous. I have lived at many different apartment complexes (I have a perfect credit, rental history-I've gotten all my security deposits back, make well over 3x times the rent, etc) and have never even seen such a high deposit. Glad I didn't even waste my money & time applying, I would hate to be stuck with such horrible customer service whenever I need things addressed. One question took over 5 hours and 3 phone calls to get an answer...
