We recently tried out a new local restaurant for brunch, and it was a wonderful experience for the whole family—including our toddler! The place was busy (both indoors and outdoors) but the relaxing ambiance provided a nice balance. Lounge jazz music played in the background, and the thoughtful design—warm whites, fresh greens, and natural wood accents—created a calming, welcoming experience.
I ordered the chicken pesto crepe, which was delicious and flavorful. My wife enjoyed the chilaquiles, and our son happily enjoyed scrambled eggs and a pancake from the kids’ menu. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, and it really felt like the team cared about making everyone feel at home.
We had the chance to chat with the restaurant manager (or possibly the owner), who shared that she brought her years of experience from Bella Bru in North Natomas to create a new great dining spot here in South Natomas. Most of the patrons during our visit seemed to be in their 40s/50s/60s, and it was nice to see families with young children too.
The restaurant is thoughtfully set up, with a spacious indoor area that includes a separate bar, and an enclosed outdoor patio with umbrellas for shade. They’ve clearly made an effort to accommodate families: there’s a kids’ menu, coloring pages with crayons, booster seats, and even a great diaper-changing area. Parking can get a bit busy because it’s in a shopping center, but we didn’t have trouble finding a spot.
Overall, it’s so nice to see a new, family-friendly restaurant opening in our neighborhood. We’re already looking forward to coming back and trying more...

First off, the Texas French toast was simply epic! The dish was elevated with a delicious Tres Leches syrup that added just the right amount of sweetness and moisture, making each bite a fantastic experience.
Next, I tried the chilaquiles with chorizo, and I can confidently say it was bursting with flavor! The chorizo added a hearty kick that complemented the fresh, crispy tortilla chips perfectly. This dish has instantly become one of my favorites!

The staff? Amazing. They’re friendly, always smiling, and make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time. You never feel rushed, and they actually seem happy to be there, which makes the whole experience even better.
And the food—wow. They have some killer dishes, like the Jalapeño Bacon Burger and Chipotle Penne Pasta. Their breakfast options are awesome too—Chilaquiles with Asada Steak and these Buckwheat Pancakes with tres leches syrup that are next level. Everything tastes fresh and well-made.
The best part? The prices. You get high-quality food without spending a fortune. It’s one of those places where you leave full and happy, and your wallet isn’t crying.
Honestly, Helic is nailing it. They don’t need to change a thing—just keep doing what they’re doing....
