The owners, staff and family of powerlifters at Third Street Barbell are a large part of the reason I have been able to achieve my goals in fitness and powerlifting. After suffering a devastating health scare I decided to make a change but could not stay consistent. I fell in love with the process of becoming a competitive powerlifter because of the family and community at Third Street. The owners take pride in providing a product that is meaningful to their values and beliefs that powerlifting and fitness is an inclusive community endeavor. My fiancé and I absolutely love this gym. It gives a private gym feel, but also has plenty of moments where the kind and supportive community shine! If you wanna keep to yourself and just get a hard workout and you can. But if you want to talk with others, make friends, and find a community within the Sacramento area, this is the place to be. The owner is present all the time, making sure everything’s running smoothly. One thing my fiancé loves the most is that she feels very safe. I can’t say enough great things about this gym! It’s truly community-focused, creating an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and supported. The facility is incredibly well-equipped, especially for powerlifting—everything you could possibly need is here.
