An amazing tour on the history of gold rush, humans’ greed, resilience, ingenuity, innovation, kindness, tolerance and team work. The tour guide ( Maria ) was a nice senior lady who loved her job, was knowledgable and had a strong communication skills. That costed me only $25 for the tour and visiting the museum. Parking was available on the street for $1.75 an hours using city’s meter.

Lots of history on this tour. Growing up in the Bay Area we’ve never been to this area. The weather was a little drizzly but the tour was fun. We had a 7 and 9 year old and they both enjoyed it. We made reservations online a week before and tickets included admission to the museum

The tour guide was very good. She was in character as a resident of Sacramento in 1850.

The tour guides had to stay in character which made it so much fun! Our tour guide called cars horseless carriages, I want to start calling cars that. When I booked I thought this was a tour that took you down to the old mining tunnels, but it was actually the actual old Sacramento streets. The tour was shorter than I expected, but I learned a lot nonetheless. The tour has a max capacity so def secure your spot early! Ps. You're not allowed to take pictures underground...

This was a fun tour. It starts at the History Museum in Old Sacramento. You get a head s set with volume control to wear during the tour. A guide dressed in 1800’s attire leads you down the street pointing out significant buildings and characters that helped to build Old Sacramento in the 1840’s-1860’s. Then you got underground where you get to see artifacts and learn how the city was raised to avoid flooding. Very...

My spouse and I had so much fun on the Sacramento tour a week ago! I'm just getting to post about it now. Our guide was Madame Anne Seymour, in character from the 1800s the whole time. We loved hearing all the salacious and wild stories of the early days of Sacramento and seeing the old buildings. It was a fun way to spend an evening and learn a bit in the process. I definitely...
