Ocean nails & spa — Attraction in Saddle Brook

Absolutely terrible experience! NEVER coming back!! I asked for a ombré coffin set and they assured me they would be able to do so. They started off applying the tips which were crooked, first red flag. He then applied the acrylic which he did an absolutely sloppy job, second red flag. All of the nails looked differently it looked nothing like an ombré. So when I approached the issue to the owner LUIS basically yanked my hand and roughly attempted to correct the nails. After looking at the end result it seemed he had made everything worse. THIRD RED FLAG. I then politely asked him to correct the nails properly or remove the 2 nails which looked horrendous and redo them. He pushed my hand refused to correct the mistakes and forcefully began removing the nails. He clipped the nails down refusing to remove the remaining nails. He later called the authorities claiming me and my sister refused to pay. Which was far from the truth. She was more then willing to pay for her nails. But after he clipped my nails what was there for me to pay. He clipped them and told me to leave and not pay which was only expected from the horrible service I received. Luis does not know how to run a business. This establishment is far from perfect, correction far from even good. I suggest NO ONE ever come here, because you will receive the horrible and rudest service ever. He degraded me in front of all the customers. If you care for the overall service and appearance I STRONGLY suggest you find somewhere else to go. I’m not even one to right reviews but I’m furious with the disgusting service. I wouldn't recommend this place. There are plenty of other nail salons that can guarantee a more pleasurable experience.

It pains me to write this review but I have watched their customer service decline after several months. The man who did my nails has cut me my last 3 visits. This last time was the last straw. As I was trying to take a look at the cut on my thumb nail out of concern, he rudely gestured for me to place my hand back on the table. He then proceeded to tug and pull at my fingers, which appeared to be out of frustration, for the duration of my service. Although he noticed the cut (because it was bleeding) he was still aggressive in application of acetone on that specific finger.. it almost felt intentional. On other occasions the service was rushed and my nails looked uneven. I must also mention that this is the second time during my manicure with them that they switched nail techs, mid-service, and made ME get up and walk to another station. I did a UV gel tip and I’ve gotten this service done so many times around the Bergen county area and no one does it right for short nails. What I mean by this is they usually put so much gel, they make the nail look fat and not natural. When I say something the manicurist usually blames it on my nail bed and I just let it go. Fortunately, I found Linda at ocean nails and spa and did not have to endure terrible treatment. As my manicurist and she not only listened to what I asked for but she did such quality work (pictures below). I recognize the hard work and quality she put in to make sure the set came out the way I would have liked. She was able to do the full set in a hour with no mistakes. If she can make short nails look this good an natural, imagine longer? Thank you Linda!
