0 stars for manager on duty on 10/3/21 in the morning shortly after 10:00: I went to the fedex station in OD as I do about every other week to ship 2 bags and was greeted by one of the rudest managers I’ve ever experienced. Each previous employee has helped me shipped items back with absolutely no problems all summer but today this woman wanted to refuse helping me. The email clearly states. “ No need to print anything. Just take your packed return to any Fedex Store. Show a store associate this code, and they'll take care of the rest.” I tried showing the manger the email but she pushed away my phone, would not look at it, argued that I must pay a $5 fee or I need to leave the store. I was shocked because I was pleasant and trying to show her that the email states free return shipping but she then left the fedex area and walked away! I went over to where she was with another employee and asked him to help but instead she interrupted saying I need to pay the $5 or “get out.” I’m shocked that a manager can tell a customer to get out. Less than 10 minutes later I went to a fedex inside Walgreens and they helped me with no problems. This Office Depot manager was rude, refuse to help me or listen and needs a serious review from upper management, she is not helping customers and due to this incident I will never go back for any...
Read moreI've shopped here for years and find everything I normally need. I ordered note cards for a non-profit this evening. The price is lower than the online printer I have used in the past. That surprised me. I get good help when I need it, and good suggestions for products.
Update: I've had a cluster of tech issues over the last few years, but I get great advice and help from the tech dept. associates. I trust Office Depot/ Max staff to give me the service I need without trying to sell me stuff I don't need.
Update Fall 2022 - I continue to get good service and find what I need at OD/OM. Happy camper!
Update: Spring 2023 - I got to recycle a device! I wasn't sure this was offered, but am happy to know it is, even if there is a modest fee. I can't keep up with the county electronics recycling schedule, and there has been a long line for it in the past. I'm glad there is another option! I also found that OD/Om carries cardstock with several colors in one package. Yay!

Read moreI went to the store on U.S. 1 on Wednesday to buy a computer mouse. One of the staff gave me one, under a "25% off"" shelf tag. It rang up $31 at the counter. I said it said 25% off. The clerk -- young redheaded woman with glasses -- said she didn't know about that but would check. She called the other salesman, and I pretty quickly said to never mind. I would pay the $31. But I suggested the store should take the 25% tag off. She said the 25% would show up on my discount card -- something she clearly understood all along. I asked if that meant it would show up on my discount card. She said no ... because I told her to do the sale as is. "God, I hate this store," I said on my way out. She asked me to repeat it. I did. "OK. That's fine," she said. I am way done with stores -- and they're everywhere -- who treat customers like inconveniences.
