I had a very unpleasant experience at the O'Reilly Auto Parts Store on Larpenteur Avenue in Roseville this week. I ordered a brake lamp only after confirming that it would be installed by them. I went to the store after the lamp was delivered. The manager did not acknowledge me and was very indifferent, curt and rude. He mostly gave me one word answers. After asking for my phone number, he punched it into his computer, did not say a word and started to walk back to the whse. I also asked him if it could be installed by them. All he said was "no" very rudely and continued walking back to the whse even after i said that one of his employees said it would be installed by them. He stated that they were not a shop. I told him I would not have ordered it thru them if it would not be installed by them. He told me that I could just install it myself. He told me to take the lamp but I refused and asked when the employee who said it could be installed would be working that day. Luckily, the employee who told me they would install it saved the day by installing it in about 10 mins. However, my dealings with the so called manager was one of my worst retail experiences in my 67 years. If not for a couple of great employees that I have worked with in the past at this store, I would never shop there again. Read moreMy service vehicle had the check engine light come on this morning. I drove to this store prior to them opening. When They opened I went inside and asked if they could run a diagnostic check. While I was sitting in my van I saw 3 vehicles pull up prior to 7:30. The guy working said he couldn’t because he was the only person working this morning and had to answer the phone in case someone called. Immediately after he said that, another worker walked up front, and I heard someone else working in the back. He still stated that he couldn’t help me, and his excuse was that he had to be there to answer the phone. To be clear I really like O Reilly’s as a business, however, the dishonesty, and lack of effort to provide any sort of customer service today is ridiculous. Read moreI purchased a car battery here today. The customer service provided by all the staff was excellent. They were all friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. Matt went above my expectations and took out the old battery for me and helped my fiancee place the new one. I highly recommend this auto parts store.
My fiancee has also had incredible service at this location. He ordered new tail lights and the staff helped him figure out how to switch out the old ones so the light bulb colors would be in the appropriate places with the new style of tail lights he purchased.
