A sweet hidden patch below the Wabasha Bridge and was on original Saint Paul Maps in 1851. There are cool steps coming down from the Wabasha Bridge to the park area or there's a cute bridge coming from Harriet Island (which isn't a island). The island also contains the St Paul Rowing Club (since 1885). There are nice paths and open park area and a bandshell on this little hidden gem. Spectacular views of downtown St Paul, the train lift bridge and of the Mississippi River traffic. The island was known as Navy Island from the late...

Raspberry Island in downtown St. Paul is a delightful urban oasis, a charming park nestled amid the gentle flow of the Mississippi River, just steps from the heart of the city. With tree-lined paths, lush green lawns, and a picturesque pavilion, it offers a serene escape for picnicking, strolling, or simply soaking in tranquil riverside views

I recently was able to see “Alebrijes: Keepers of the Island,” which was an art installation featuring larger-than-life, papier-mâché sculptures inspired by Mexican folk art. They...

This is one of my favorite places in all of the Twin Cities. I can’t even count how many times I’ve gone down here to clear my head, think, or meditate while watching the river flow by. Definitely worth checking it out if you ever have time to burn & you’re visiting Saint Paul.

P.S. they have an outdoor exhibit featuring Latinx creatures from the after life. Very enthralling...
