Heartfelt Gratitude for Blind Pass Marina's Exceptional Post-Hurricane Recovery
Dear Blind Pass Marina Team,
We wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for the outstanding efforts being put forth in bringing Blind Pass Marina back to its full operational status after Hurricane Idalia wreaked havoc on the marina. Your dedication, resilience, and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and we feel compelled to share our appreciation.
The aftermath of Hurricane Idalia was nothing short of awful, but thanks to your unwavering commitment, the marina has not only being restored but improved in numerous ways. Your meticulous attention to detail and comprehensive approach to the recovery efforts have left a lasting impression on all of us who occasionally call Blind Pass Marina our second home.
First and foremost, the electrical work being conducted has been exemplary. Ensuring that the marina has a safe and reliable electrical system is obviously of paramount importance, and you are executing this task with precision (we met the electrician - gotta love his Army Corps of Engineers experience). The overall swift response is providing peace of mind to all boat owners, we are sure.
The water repairs undertaken were equally commendable. In a marina, water is the lifeblood, and you took it upon yourselves to ensure that the water infrastructure was restored to its peak functionality. This dedication to detail did not go unnoticed, and we are all grateful for the smooth transition back to normalcy.
Perhaps the most critical aspect of your post-hurricane recovery efforts has been the extensive work on the pilings. The addition of extra and replacement pilings and large boards to reinforce the docks was a monumental task, but you and the contractors tackled it with the utmost professionalism and dedication to safety. It appears the marina is now not only back in operation but is, in fact, safer than ever before.
In times of crisis, it is the actions and determination of individuals and teams like yours that truly shine. You have proven that the Blind Pass Marina community can overcome adversity and emerge stronger than ever.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to every member of the Blind Pass Marina team who played a role in this remarkable recovery journey. Your tireless efforts have ensured that the marina remains a cherished haven for all of us who love the marine environment.
When we set sail once more from this resilient and revitalized marina, we are filled with immense gratitude and admiration for your dedication. Blind Pass Marina is not just a place; it's a community, and it's a privilege to be part of it, especially in times like these.
With warm regards and...
Read moreI spent 1.5 years or so at the Marina. Dockmaster was very welcoming at the beginning. I was never lectured about rules and regulations of the marina and one day I used the "grocery cart" to carry my recently bought dinghy to the boat. The dinghy was a hard one, but extremely lightweight. I did use it knowing I was not overloading the cart. There I learnt there was a space for dinghy storage, cart damage by overweight, etc. Loud pitch and tone!. I apologized, of course. Later, about a month ago, I learnt in his eyes I was asking too much for services/assistance I should work by myself( Then, I wondered where exactly were my sins), including my way out of my dock where the front piles had inclined in such a way the boat could not squeeze out with my sole effort . All those comments were made loud and in a bad temper along the dock as he went to rope and hold on one of the piles for me to leave. Unpleasant, dissapointing, and insulting that final experience with this gentleman, Todd, the dockmaster. I have my own hypothesis for this nasty behaviour, but the situation is already behind, and I do not plan to visit or return that place. In that period, I could exchange a few phrases with some of my neighbours but basically everyone minded their own businesses. With this I want to say I did not find the neighborhood...
Read moreDock Master left me in a terrible lurch. He was supposed to have a slip for me when he came back from vacation and he didn’t. After i called 4 times bc his voice mail was full he said he thought he should answer bc it might be important - and it was to me. I needed a slip and agreed to a pay a $300 month to month rental to store a jet ski. He said he had one for me and would be back from vacation on the 24 and to send an email with the detail of our discussion, which i did immediately in addition to a text. I showed up on the 24 and he was rude and remembers little and everything different about the conversarion. He gave the slip to someone else. I have the non reply texts and emails. He got in my space (face) about it on the dock and i told him to stay away from me! He told me that i was on his property now and for me to leave! The restaurant is awesom, the boat rental, which is separate, is awesome - the dock master is...
