Sunrise Motel — Hotel in Treasure Island

I'm not giving this hotel any stars due to the fact that they are very rude and very misinformative. We reserved our rooms and specifically told them how many was in our party and how much would the rate be for a week. They quoted us a price for each room which was reasonable we arrived after 12 that night so they left the rooms unlocked so we can go ahead and rest which was nice because it was so late. Keep in mind we have in contact with the hotel the entire trip down there to make sure everything was okay and then we didn't have any miscommunication or misunderstanding. So the owner wakes us up about 8 won't have come in to the office and finish the check-in process. In which I felt that she could a lot of sleep a little bit longer considering we did drive all night and it was very late when we got in and got settled. So when we got to the office we was checking in she was telling us what our rate was which was almost double of what we were told the whole entire time we made our reservations and talk to the young lady that was at the front desk that was very nice by the way. So we decided not stay there and go find a hotel that was a little bit more reasonable and we asked if we could just pay for the time that we stayed. The owner refused to give us a refund. We kept asking if we could just pay for the time that we stay there and get the rest of the money back which was almost $1,000 or more she refused so we had to call Florida Police Department file report because it's a civil suit, call credit card companies and cancel the credit card. Not only do we have to do all of this it took as a whole day to find us another place to stay so it was a whole day of our vacation wasted. The rooms looked nice at the first thing that I saw when I went in was a cockroach didn't even want to bring anything again because of it didn't want to take anything back home. So I don't give this hotel at any stars due to the fact that the owner is very rude and the rates that you get quoted is not what she charges you when you get there so please be aware of this she has stolen over $1,000 from us and not only did she do that the credit card my niece used to reserve the rooms she charge the credit card for the total price of the three rooms again so we are out over $2,000 because of this and having to dispute this so please do not stay here. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The only reason that she's getting one star is because it won't let me post unless I give her a rating but please believe she doesn't deserve rate on this...

First off, Ms. Susie is the best! She is truly helpful, accommodating, and kind. My son and I went in April 2024 for my sister's 50th birthday. The rooms are all decorated by theme, sunflowers, red, seashells, etc. So cozy and so clean. The rooms all had frigs and kitchens to make you feel like you were still some. The location is prime. It's near 2 beaches (walking distance), walking to one of them is like a 2-minute walk. There are 2 amazing restaurants near the motel. One is the across the street and the other is a parking lot walk away. Publix is not to far nor is 7-Eleven. Transportation is also accessible. The inground pool and pool area is clean and spacious. There is a grill on the property as well. Plenty of beach lounging chairs. There are tables outside the pool to have outdoor meals with one another. The rooms also have a table with chair(s) outside your room if you want to drink your coffee/tea (which she has in the kitchen for you) as the sunrises. Don't want to take dirty laundry home? Don't! She has a washer and dry room. Everyone that stayed in the motel was super chill. Everyone felt save no matter what time you were outside. The view of the water and the people watching gave the stay such a wonderful vibe. You might see that guy on the unicycle like we did. We will be returning again next year. My son insists on it! Although it was clean looking and affordable for being near the beach. To my dismay the first thing i found opening a cupboard was a cockroach. I've taken several pictures as proof. The next horror i received was at 9am when a rude cleaning lady(who i found later to be the owner of this establishment) was banging down my door reminding me of checking out or paying another day. This was 2 hours before the checkout time. I had nit gotten much sleep due to the late night i had already had. But could of definitely used that2 extra hours. I was rushed to trivially find my credit card just to pay another day at this roach infested place just so i could get the shut eye to leave and prepare my belongings so they wouldn't be filled with bugs. Now i must buy some diotomaceous earth. Bag all my belongings to be washed at a laundromat and pray i don't bring any of these critters elsewhere. My time is money. So is this...
