I was at Sea Dog Brewery Co. (Treasure Island) during the weekend of my sister's 50th birthday (Friday, April 26th, 2024 and during my weekend stay.) The first night, we went to check out the beer. Lovely assortment and by the way before I go any further, most of their beer, hot sauces, etc. are made in-house! We asked about the beer selection and our server (sadly I can't recall his name, but he as a dream of a server!) He told us all about the beer they had on hand and brought us some to sample. I already knew I was getting a blueberry beer, which yes, they make themselves! It was delicious and very satisfying. But I didn't want to leave without trying something I wanted to try forever. Conch fritters. Our server asked what sauce I would like for my conch fritters. Tartar sauce or cocktail? I asked which would he recommend. He explained which worked better with the fritters...cocktail sauce and that tartar sauce would be best on Hush Puppies. So cocktail sauce it was. The fritters were big in size and had a lovely kick of heat, but not too much. The flavor was so on point and that is what got me hooked. I had looked over the menu online before our trip. Another thing we had were the wings. All their sauces are amazing (I tried several), my favorite was the dry rub! You can get all wings or all drums for a small fee, which is worth it for me since I only like the wings. The next day, for breakfast, I had the cheesy grits with shrimp and pork belly. The flavor was so powerful but not overpowering. It was incredibly cheesy, and the shrimp were big, not those tiny shrimps one searches for in their food. I wanted to try pork belly and was surprised on the amount of it in my dish. Not so much where it's all pork belly, but just the right amount. I was beyond myself on how great the grits tasted. It's usually a hit or miss with flavor or texture, this was not the case here. After my son and I ate we wander about and started playing games, they have plenty there. I spotted their gift area, super fun. I bought this kit that had a vodka and some other items all in a lovely box, next to nothing in cost (sorry no photo). I spotted the hot sauce and bought them as gifts. They were $5.00 each, but for 4 I believe it was $18.00. Sunday our last night, and I mentioned to my relatives about the wings. So we went and had wings, they had drinks (very good by the way) and they had these amazing burgers. I also made a magnet of one of my favorite photos. There is a machine at the restaurant (upstairs) where you can make your own personal magnet, I think it was $7.00. But the jam was the blueberry barbecue sauce I left home with. Look into that blueberry barbecue sauce. It has hints of blueberry and a little bit of heat. Amazing!!!!!! And to the guy who gave it to me, you know who you are, you rock!!!! Planning our next trip because I need to try their grouper nuggets! Stop in, the view is spectacular!!!!!!! I recommend everything and I recommend trying new foods!!!!

Atmosphere is amazing , even on a rainy day you can tell on a nice day this place would be poppin! All the staff was very friendly, even the guy that was training was so kind! My issue is I ordered some wings on wing night. They came out looking amazing!! Got two orders of 6, and one order was all drums and they were so BIG! Sadly they were RAW. I’m talking blood dripping on the plate RAW. I told my waiter and his response was: “ Oh we have a lot of them that come out like that, I’ll re-ring them in and put well done.” I’ve had wings before and had blood vessels in them or some of the meat was a dark purple or almost brownish after being cooked… this was actually really raw! Again, I had blood in the ranch and on the extra side plate after biting and dipping them. I’m not mad they were undercooked, accidents happen… seeing the difference of wing sizes from me and my moms order, I get it . Everything will not and cannot cook at the same time, my issue was the waiter trying to gaslight me like I didn’t just bite into a raw a$$ chicken wing!! Sadly I didn’t even get an apology from him or a discount. The wings were .75 cents a piece so I’m not too mad , but taking off $4.50 for me biting into raw wings WOULDNT have hurt the business too much. We ordered a lobster roll to split and I couldn’t even enjoy it because my stomach was in knots from knowing I ate raw chicken. I was disappointed with how it was handled. Thankfully the saving grace for me was another waiter(lovely brunette lady) came to take our bill ( which was incorrect we were charged for the raw wings and the reorder as well), I told her what happened and how we were charged for the old wings… she was so apologetic! Again , I can tell this restaurant could be awesome … just a bad experience for me and my mom on our vacation. I’m sick in my hotel room instead of enjoying myself on vacation tonight. Literally on the toilet now as I write this review. Side note: the lobster roll from the bite I had and my moms review was amazing ! Bread toasted perfect and SO MUCH MEAT!! And it was sweet. The Mahi fish dip was delicious (my favorite) and the garlic parmesan wings are actually to die for flavor wise. I would just make sure to check them if they’re big wings and not the average sized ones .

When we first got there we sat by the main bar, it was about 7:30 pm and the place was not that busy. This was Sunday evening, mid-July, maybe about 50 people if that.. We sat at a high top literally next to the bar. We waited for about 20 mins, and then the guest we were meeting walked over to the bar and asked who our server was. To our surprise, it was the bar tender who hadn't even acknowledged us. She came over a few mins later and took our order We ordered: One rum runner Two house beers, one being a number 12 on the beer menu. An appetizer of chicken wings and an order of cheese curds. We waited about another 10 mins before two of the three drinks came out. We were told the number 12 beer keg had to be tapped before my husband could get his beer order. We said ok after she said it would be out shortly. Another 25 mins later, after my husband had been parched for now, almost hr after walking in, he had to go inquire about his beer. The bar tender said it hadn't been done yet because the guy hadn't tapped yet. My husband ended up purchasing a different beer, which he would have done to begin with if she had told him it was gonna take an hr to get a beer. She didn't even apologize for this inconvenience of having to wait an hr for a beer. She was completely oblivious to anything we needed or even could have offered a free house beer at min for the way we were treated. Then the wings and we never cheese curds because she didn't put the order in to start with. She was absolutely the worst bar tender we encountered on our vacation from Tampa to St Petersburg. The atmosphere was actually really cool, and we found mug the club really neat, which she didn't even ask if we were interested in or lived local. My husband usually leaves a very generous tip, but he was upset he left her a 4$ tip on a $43.97 bill, and we left went some where else and had a drink to discuss our business. While we are not local and live in Tampa, a drive across the bridge is not a big deal for us. This, the place came highly recommended by a well-known lawyer in the area, and he was also shocked at the treatment we received that day.

Ever since I moved to the area, this place has been my one of my go to spots. The food has always been spectacular for me whether it’s dine in or to go. When I dine in and I see other people eating different items (that I haven’t tried) I always ask how it is/was? The consensus is always “Really good! I’m really full now!” Haha!

I’m a sucker for the wings (they are generally really good size and cooked well), the tacos are awesome as well as the burgers. Every time I order, the staff is always very accommodating and make sure you get what you wanted.

As for the bar and drinks, I joined the mug club and am not looking back. It is a great deal and I think the price and points accrued are well worth it. Danielle has been so wonderful, she is very attentive and always takes care of every customer. She takes the time to answer any questions and is always willing to give suggestions based on what you say you are looking for. I can’t praise her hard work, caring and thoughtful demeanor enough. Her genuine kindness to myself and others goes a really long ways.

Honestly everyone that I have experienced here is truly amazing. For all my travels, this is one of the best group of personnel I have experienced and that is why I keep coming back. I definitely would love to give a shout out to Kyleigh, Erin, Riley, Olivia, Mike and Hunter. They are also so wonderful. All I can say is ownership and management, please keep taking care of these people. Regulars and myself keep coming back because of how special THEY are.

If the ratings didn’t make a difference, I would’ve had to gave less stars due to a recent change but I know less stars does not warrant it but in writing this, I hope it gets addressed immediately. Here is the issue, recently the upstairs bar recently covered the open area and myself and others are not happy. I purposely visit the establishment to sit outside, outside of the AC, feel the breeze and watch the boater activity. Only one time has the rain been so treacherous that we had to move inside and they had to close the sliding window… for about a half hour…. To be honest, I don’t come here as much now because of it and have been going to other open outside places.

In closing, this place is very well maintained, everything is clean, the bathrooms are clean. The attention to details and staff making sure that customers are satisfied is very impressive. Please make the change back to the way the upstairs...
